WWE 2K24 Producer Bryan Williams Speaks About What Goes Into An In-Game Ranking
The latest edition of the WWE 2K franchise, WWE 2K24, has unveiled its superstar ratings, with the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns unsurprisingly taking the top spot with a mighty 97.
In a recent interview, Bryan Williams, a developer for the WWE 2K franchise, offered a deep dive into the rating system. Williams explained that a key factor this year was ensuring a clear hierarchy among the wrestlers.
"We wanted to make sure that when you select a character, they are of their appropriate place on the card," Williams said. "Not everybody can be a Roman Reigns."
While Williams acknowledged this might not please everyone, he emphasized that the ratings reflect a superstar's performance over the past year. Factors considered include championship reigns, win/loss record, and overall positioning within the company.
Williams also revealed that WWE itself has minimal influence over the ratings. "It's mostly us," he said. "The WWE trusts us. We're always trying to do right by them and their talents."
For those curious about some specific wrestlers, Zelina Vega comes in at 74, Sami Zayn at 87, Akira Tozawa at 68, Bronson Reed at 84, and the rising star Bron Breakker at 80.
