Oney Lorcan & Danny Burch defeated Breezango to retain the NXT Tag Team Titles and once again joined with Pat McAfee and Pete Dunne to leave wreckage in their wake.

Elsewhere, Leon Ruff shocked the world by defeating Johnny Gargano to become the new NXT North American Champion, Santos Escobar retained the NXT Cruiserweight Title after an intense battle with Jake Atlas, Indi Hartwell revealed herself as Candice LeRae’s masked accomplice, and more happened last week on NXT.



Coming Up this week's NXT show, WWE has a missive lineup ahead, NXT Champion Finn Balor is set to make his return to NXT. On 8 September at NXT: Super Tuesday II, Bálor defeated Adam Cole to win the vacant NXT Championship for the second time.

Plush, Io Shirai will put the title on the line against Rhea Ripley next week on the NXT show. Last week on NXT, Io Shirai challenged Rhea Ripley for the NXT Women's Championship match.

During the last week's NXT show, NXT aired Prime Target, apparently making Rhea Ripley Vs. Io Shirai official for the next. Io Shirai defeated Rhea Ripley and Charlotte Flair at NXT Takeover: In Your Hosue to become the new NXT Women's Champion.



Since her title Victor, Io Shiai has put her title multiple times on the line. Now, Rhea Ripley will officially get the title shot against Io Shirai for the NXT Women's Championship match this Wednesday.

NXT Champion Finn Balor is set to make his return to NXT

NXT Champion Finn Balor is set to make his return to NXT. On 8 September at NXT: Super Tuesday II, Bálor defeated Adam Cole to win the vacant NXT Championship for the second time.

At NXT TakeOver 31, Bálor made a successful title defense against Kyle O'Reilly. Finn Balor had been out of in-ring action for a short while, but now, NXT has stated his return to NXT this Wednesday's Show.

Nothing is announced for Finn Balor, but live addressing from the champ, it will be interesting to see Finn Balor's new challenger.

Leon Ruff(c) Vs. Johnny Gargano[North American Title Rematch]

Johnny Gargano set out to finally put an end to his championship curse, but what unfolded was instead his worst nightmare. His "Wheel of Challengers" landed on Leon Ruff's name — written on a piece of tape and conspicuous by its contrast to the other names on the list.

Moments later, an incensed Gargano emerged backstage for a heated exchange with Priest, whom he blamed for his title loss. Meanwhile, Priest enjoyed the scene almost as much as Ruff himself, even giving Ruff the keys to his car to make a swift getaway before Gargano could find him.
