WWE Provides Injury Update On Carmelo Hayes And Austin Theory

During the SmackDown episode on January 12th, there was a moment in the match between Austin Theory and Carmelo Hayes that didn't go as planned, leading to a premature end.

The two wrestlers attempted a move off the top rope, but their landing on their shoulders looked awkward. Carmelo Hayes didn't show any movement after the incident.



Following the mishap, Grayson Waller entered the ring, accompanied by WWE medical staff, to attend to the situation. While Carmelo Hayes remained on the mat, Austin Theory managed to sit up during the aftermath.

Taking to X, WWE provided the following update on Austin Theory;

UPDATE: Following their match tonight on #SmackDown, @_Theory1 and @Carmelo_WWE were evaluated for injuries. They both suffered face contusions, and will both be okay.
