WWE Superstar Diagnosed With Mast Cell Activation Syndrome
WWE superstar Raquel Rodriguez has recently disclosed the reason behind her absence from WWE programming. In an Instagram post, Rodriguez revealed that she had been diagnosed with Mast Cell Activation Syndrome (MCAS), leading her to step away from the wrestling scene temporarily.
The last time Rodriguez competed in a WWE live event was on December 3, and since then, fans have been wondering about her absence. In the Instagram video, Rodriguez explained the progression of her health issues related to eczema, which worsened in December. She detailed the physical symptoms, including redness and swelling, which made her reluctant to appear on camera and engage in her usual activities.
"Basically, I was red, swollen, there was a lot happening in this area [points to her face] physically. It kept me from doing the things that I love, like traveling, going to the gym, and wrestling. I also didn’t want to be on camera. I didn’t want to look in the mirror," Rodriguez shared in the video.
Gratefully, Rodriguez emphasized that her move back to Texas allowed her to be surrounded by a supportive family during this challenging time. She expressed gratitude to her family and the fans who sent kind messages, reminding her that she was not alone in her struggles.
In the post, Rodriguez acknowledged the emotional and mental toll that health issues can take on individuals. She urged others going through similar challenges to be compassionate to themselves and to remember that difficult times will pass.
As she embarks on her healing journey, Rodriguez plans to share more about her experiences once she gains a better understanding of her health condition. At present, there is no official confirmation regarding her return to the WWE ring.
Fans and colleagues alike are sending well wishes to Raquel Rodriguez as she focuses on her health and recovery.
