WWE WrestleMania Backlash 2022 Results: Cody Rhodes Vs. Seth Rollins Full Match & Winner

After making his earth-shattering return to WWE at WrestleMania, Cody Rhodes will once again go head-to-head with “The Visionary” Seth Rollins in a highly anticipated rematch at WrestleMania Backlash.

WrestleMania Backlash streams live, Sunday, May 8, from Dunkin' Donuts Center in Providence, Rhode Island. The event airs at 8 ET/5 PT on Peacock in the United States and WWE Network everywhere else.



WWE WrestleMania Backlash 2022: Cody Rhodes Vs. Seth Rollins Full Match

The PPV starts off with a rematch between Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins. Rollins with a hammerlock and he goes for a belly-to-back suplex but Cody lands on his feet.

Seth with a kick on the break but Cody swims away. Rollins with a La Magistral for a near fall. Cody with the waist lock and Seth with the standing switch and they do a series of reversals. Seth punches Cody and Cody on the head. Rollins goes to the floor.



Rollins punches Cody when he returns to the ring. Cody goes to the floor and Rollins knocks Cody into the ringside barrier from the apron with a Harley Race knee. Rollins pulls on the nose and joins with a forearm. Seth with punches and a reverse chin lock. Cody with punches and Cody hits the drop-down punch and a delayed vertical gourd. A beautiful disaster with Cody for a near fall.

Cody goes for a springboard move and Rollins pushes Cody to the floor over the top rope. Rollins sends Cody to the ringside barrier. Rollins sends Cody Face to the first announce table. Rollins with a forearm across the back. Cody with the forearm and they go back and forth. Rollins with a snap mare and kicks on the back after a knee drop.

Rollins with an Irish whip and Cody tries to swim upstairs but Rollins almost falls down for a fall. Cody gets a near fall. Cody with a flying forearm and a power slam. Cody clothesline Rollins over the top rope to the floor. Cody goes for a double jump cross body to the floor but Rollins walks and comes back in the ring. Rhodes with a forearm to prevent a suicide dive. Cody with the Cody cutters for a near fall.



Cody Rhodes feels like the number 2 guy in WWE right now behind Roman Reigns. He's never been this over. The place went insane for that Pedigree tease from Cody. This Cody Rhodes vs. Seth Rollins has been incredible. Is it better than their WrestleMania match?

Seth attempts a Pedigree but Cody stops him. Rollins with knees and Cody with a springboard move and Rollins catches Cody and hits the buckle bomb. Rollins with a frog splash to a near fall. Rollins marches to the top for the Phoenix Splash and Cody moves.

Rhodes with a Superkick, Cody goes up and Rollins leaps to the superplex in a Falcon Arrow to the turnbuckles but Cody rolls and plants the crossroads but Seth has his feet on the ropes to stop the count.

Cody goes upstairs and he sets up for a Moonsault and misses when Seth walks in. Seth with a kick followed by a massive Pedigree to a near fall. Seth with more Kawada kicks. Seth pays tribute to Cody's father with Jabs. Cody with crossroads. Rollins with a knee to Cody. Cody rolls over and counts to three.
