Yash Raj Films To Release Vicky Kaushal's 'Chhaava' Internationally

Mumbai, January 22 - Vicky Kaushal's historical action drama Chhaava is one of the most anticipated Bollywood movies of the year. Directed by Laxman Utekar, the film is based on the life of Maratha king Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj and is an adaptation of the Marathi novel Chhava by Shivaji Sawant.

Produced by Maddock Films, Chhaava is scheduled to be released on February 14 worldwide, and the studio has partnered with industry giant Yash Raj Films to release the movie internationally. With YRF coming on board, Chhaava is likely to get a wide overseas release and might emerge as Kaushal's biggest international grosser.



Chhaava stars Vicky Kaushal in the title role of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, also known as Shambhuraje, who was the second Chhatrapati of the Maratha Empire, ruling from 1681 to 1689. Rashmika Mandanna plays the female lead role as Maharani Yesubai while Akshaye Khanna steps in to play Aurangzeb.
