Welcome To The Jungle, the third installment in the beloved comedy franchise, has officially entered its second week at the box office. As of its eighth day, the film is showing steady legs despite a significant shift in the theatrical landscape. On Friday, July 3, the movie faced its first major hurdle with the release of the female-led spy thriller Alpha, which led to a noticeable reduction in its show count across the country. To put this into perspective, the film was running with 9,917 shows on Thursday, but this number dropped to 7,557 shows on Friday. Despite losing nearly 2,400 shows, the film managed to hold its ground reasonably well.
Talking about the numbers, Welcome To The Jungle collected 4.50 crore net on its second Friday. This represents an 18.2 percent drop from the previous day, where it had earned 5.50 crore. While any drop in the second week is worth noting, a dip of less than 20 percent on a day when a new competitor arrives suggests that the film still has a dedicated audience. This Day 8 performance has pushed the total India net collection to 97.65 crore, placing it right on the doorstep of the coveted 100-crore club, which it should comfortably cross over the second weekend.

When we look at the gross figures, the domestic total has reached 116.27 crore. The overseas market contributed another 1.00 crore on Friday, bringing the total international gross to 27.45 crore. Combining these figures, the worldwide gross collection now stands at an impressive 143.72 crore. For a comedy entertainer with a massive ensemble cast, these numbers reflect a consistent global interest that has spanned over 83,000 shows since its release.
In the national multiplex chains, which include PVR, INOX, and Cinepolis, the film saw focused activity. For the second Friday, these chains collectively sold 13,000 tickets, generating a gross of approximately 42 lakhs across 2,000 shows. The occupancy in these premium venues averaged around 3.5 percent. PVR led the contributions with 19.5 lakhs from roughly 840 shows, followed by INOX with 15 lakhs from 700 shows, and Cinepolis adding 7.6 lakhs from 460 shows. While the occupancy rates in multiplexes were on the lower side during the day, the evening and night shows showed much better momentum.

Regional occupancy trends highlight where the film is currently thriving. Bengaluru emerged as the strongest performer with an overall occupancy of 21.3 percent, peaking at a solid 32 percent during night shows. Other major hubs like the National Capital Region and Mumbai recorded overall occupancies of 16 percent and 13.8 percent respectively. Interestingly, Ahmedabad showed a significant jump in the night, moving from a 3 percent morning occupancy to 27 percent by the end of the day. This trend of night-time growth is a positive sign for the film's prospects over Saturday and Sunday.
The digital engagement on BookMyShow also provides a clear picture of its standing among the year's big releases. On its second Friday, the platform recorded 77,190 tickets sold, bringing the total ticket count on the site to over 17.89 lakhs. In the context of second-friday ticket sales for the 2025-26 period, Welcome To The Jungle currently ranks at the eleventh spot. While it sits behind heavy hitters like Dhurandhar and Chhaava, it is maintaining a similar pace to other major sequels like Raid 2.
