Alia Bhatt Starts Shooting For Her Maiden Production Titled - Darlings

Mumbai, July 3, 2021: Within a week of wrapping up Gangubai Kathiawadi, actress Alia Bhatt returns to the set of her next film. The actress turns producer, Alia took to social media on Saturday and announced that she has started filming for her upcoming film, Darlings, which also marks her debut as a producer.

The Dear Zindagi actress shared a monochrome set picture of the first day of her upcoming film 'Darlings'. Alia is also producing this film in association with Shah Rukh Khan's Red Chillies Entertainment. Apart from sharing a picture, Alia confessed to being nervous on the first day of every film shoot.

She went on to say that she reaches to set 15 minutes before time fearing she will be late. She further said that this nervousness and uncertainty, however, are a sign of caring for the project and that she rightly called that this feeling should never go away just to have the right mindset towards the project.

Talking about the film, it is a dark comedy film that revolves around a mother-daughter duo (played by Shefali Shah and Alia Bhatt) that is set against the backdrop of a conservative and lower-middle-class Mumbai neighborhood.

The movie is being directed by Jasmeet K Reen in her directorial debut. The movie also features Vijay Varma and Roshan Matthew in the key roles. Alia is producing the film under her banner Eternal Sunshine Productions.
