All-Time Box Office Blockbuster 'The Kashmir Files' Sets OTT Release Date

Mumbai, April 25 - Filmmaker Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri's hard-hitting drama, The Kashmir Files, stormed the worldwide box office with its phenomenal run. Made on a budget of around 20 crores, the movie went gross 337 crores worldwide and becomes an all-time blockbuster.

The Kashmir Files, starring Anupam Kher in the lead role, was released on March 11. It has completed 6 weeks in theaters and still running with limited shows.

Meanwhile, the makers of TKF have sold the digital rights to the film to ZEE5. It will be premiered on the streamer on May 13, after completing 8 weeks in theaters. Considering the movie has been one of the most-watched films during the entire covid-19 pandemic, it is expected to attract large viewership on ZEE5.

Produced by Abhishek Agarwal Arts, Zee Studios, I Am Buddha, TKF is based on the painful exodus of the Kashmiri Pandits during the Kashmir Insurgency in 1990. The movie anonymously received positive reviews from critics and audiences.
