Box Office: Raksha Bandhan First Monday Early Estimate

Mumbai, August 15 - Raksha Bandhan is heading towards a low day at the box office on the first Monday despite having a huge national holiday in the form of independence day. The early estimate collections suggest 6 crores net for the Akshay Kumar-starrer on its 5th day.

The film has seen a drop of around 15% which should not be happening as the Sunday number itself was low. If the film had seen some growth or even maintain the collections of Sunday then it would have been a decent result for the film but now it is over.

The first Monday collections will push the total collections of the film to a little over 34cr net box office mark which is a low number considering the film had a five-day weekend with 3 holidays and one Saturday. The minimum extended weekend should have been 50cr for Raksha Bandhan but it missed the target by around 16cr net which pretty much tells the underperformance of the film.

Tomorrow the film will see a big drop as the film is coming from two consecutive national holidays. The collections from here on will be not that much unless the film shows some decent holds on the weekdays.
