Box Office: Sarkaru Vaari Paata Opening Day Early Estimates; Blockbuster Start

Hyderabad, May 12 - Superstar Mahesh Babu's big-screen return after more than two years brings a lot of joy among his fans and exhibitors.

The Parasuram Petla-directed movie has taken a huge opening as it grossed an estimated 53 crores at the domestic box office. The opening day gross includes an estimated 32 crores share in Telugu states.

The first day's share collection in AP/TG will take "Sarakru Vaari Paata" among the top 10 share movies of all-time for all first day. The movie was expected to create non-RRR records in Telugu states, but nonetheless, the opening is still nothing short of a blockbuster.

The action entertainer has received mixed to positive responses from critics and audiences alike. The theatrical business of the movie is valued at approx. 125 crores and it should get there by the end of its run. However, a lot will determine how it performs over the weekdays.

Meanwhile, the movie has crossed the $1 million mark at the USA box office. It grossed a strong $951K from 500 theaters on Wednesday, ranking at number 2 behind only "Doctor Strange 2" in the USA.
