Mumbai, May 6 - Marvel Studios' "Doctor Strange In The Multiverse Of Madness" starring Benedict Cumberbatch has been released all over India today. The film is carrying an immense hype and anticipation due to the Marvel branding.

Doctor Strange In The Multiverse Of Madness has been released on over 2500 screens in India in all versions. This is the third-highest screen count for Hollywood films in India after Spiderman: No Way Home which was released on over 3250+ screens followed by Avengers Endgame which was released on more than 2845 screens.

The advance booking of Doctor Strange In The Multiverse Of Madness was started around a month ago and the film had an extraordinary pre-sales. Hollywood tentpoles are ruling the advance sales in India since Avengers Endgame when it clocked more than 50cr advance sales. Doctor Strange In The Multiverse Of Madness will take a bumper opening in all the major multiplexes of India. The opening of the film can hit the 30cr level but that will also depend on walk-in crowds as well.

Among key markets, South Korea led Wednesday with $5.9 million, followed by Japan ($3.8 million), France ($3 million), Italy ($2.2 million), Germany ($1.8 million), Malaysia ($1.6 million) and Thailand ($1.2 million).
