Shahid Kapoor's 'Jersey' Run-Time And Censorship Report Revealed
Mumbai, April 7 - After delivering an all-time blockbuster in the form of "Kabir Singh" (2019), Bollywood star Shahid Kapoor is readying for his next big-screen release, which is the sports drama "Jersey".
The official remake of the Telugu movie of the same name, "Jersey" is written and directed by Gowtam Tinnanuri who had also helmed the original version. The movie is scheduled to release on April 14 worldwide. Though the expectations are high for the movie, it will clash with Yash-fronted "KGF: Chapter 2" at the box office.
Meanwhile, the makers of "Jersey" have already completed the censorship formalities. It is certified with a U/A certificate with theatrical run-time of 170 minutes 43 seconds (2 hours, 50 minutes, 43 seconds).
Produced by Dil Raju, Suryadevara Naga Vamsi, Aman Gill, and Allu Aravind, the movie also stars Mrunal Thakur as the female lead while Pankaj Kapur and Ronit Kamra play supporting roles.
Jersey is about a 36-year-old cricketer named Arjun (Shahid) who is aiming to play for the Indian national team to fulfill his son's desire for a jersey. It narrates the emotional bond between a father and son.
The advance booking of "Jersey" will be opened on April 10th or 11th.
