Box Office: Jersey Gets Clean Bowled In The First Weekend

Mumbai, April 25 - Jersey was a much-awaited film as Shahid Kapoor was coming after a huge blockbuster in the form of Kabir Singh and that's why there was a huge expectation to replicate a similar kind of success.

From the promos, Jersey did not look like an initial kind of a film and even the music was a downer which was a major reason behind the huge success of Kabir Singh. Jersey was more like a word-of-mouth film that depends on the appreciation of the cinema-goers but here Jersey was devoid of that appreciation.

Jersey opened to a low opening day collections of under 4 cr net and the first weekend is under 15 cr net which is again a very low number. The film remained flat on Sunday which itself speaks about the content of the film.

The lifetime collection of the film is set to be in the range of 30-35cr net or even lower as the film will lose its most screens to Heropanti2 and Runway 34 on the upcoming Friday.
