Silambarasan's Maanaadu Rules Out OTT Release; Targeting Ayudha Pooja Release In Theaters

Chennai, June 17, 2021: Due to the covid-19 pandemic, there are so many rumours floating on social media regarding the release modal of the films. While a few hit the target, most of the rumors die down as soon as the official announcement is made.

Silambarasan starrer Maanaadu is one of the exciting films which are in the pipeline. The movie was also rumored to be releasing on OTT before the film's producer Suresh Kamatchi has confirmed that the film is indeed heading to theatres, and has thereby ruled out the OTT release option.

Most of the shoot of Maanaadu has been completed and only a little bit of work pending before the movie is ready to release. The makers are targeting the Ayudha Pooja release date for the film, which falls on the 14th of October 2021.

Directed by Venkat Prabhu, Maanaadu is an action thriller starring STR, and Kalyani Priyadarshan, with S. J. Suryah as the antagonist. It also stars Bharathiraja, S. A. Chandrasekhar, Karunakaran, and Premgi Amaren in supporting roles. The movie is produced by Suresh Kamatchi under his banner V House Productions.
