Valimai Heading Towards All-Time Record Opening Day In Tamil Nadu

Chennai, Feb 24, 2022: Ajith Kumar fronted Valimai which was one the most anticipated films of the year has taken a bumper start in Tamil Nadu which is comparable to the biggest openers ever in the state.


The film was always going to open bumper response given the craze Ajith Kumar commands in Tamil Nadu but to give a start like this on a normal day that too on Thursday is just extraordinary and credited to the star power.


At the speed Valimai is moving, the film can record the all-time highest first-day number in Tamil Nadu by beating the Rajnikant starrer Annaatthe, according to boxofficeindia.com.

The Rajnikant starrer was released on a big Diwali day and here Valimai has recorded a similar number on a normal day and it is almost certain that Valimai is going to topple Annaatthe when the final number arrives.


The target is to cross the number of Annaatthe which had done 26.20 Cr on the first day. Valimai has also been released in the Hindi version but the response is lukewarm due to no face value but that hardly matters for a film that smashes records in their local markets.
