The movie joined horror-comedy, Aranmanai 4 as the only Tamil movie of 2024 to score success at the box office. ## Directed by R. S. Durai Senthilkumar, Garudan has grossed approximately 50.65 crores worldwide, including approx. 42.65 crores in India and an estimated 8 crores at the overseas box office in 15 days. It is currently the 4th highest-grossing Kollywood film of the year, behind Aranmanai 4, Ayalaan, and Captain Miller. ## Garudan received positive reception from critics and audiences upon its release on May 31st. The movie scored 4+ crores gross on its first day and remained solid throughout the first week to earn 27+ crores gross in India. It held firmly in the second week to collect approximately 14.75 crores gross and has started the third week on a good note. ## A consistent decent run for Garudan could take it to 50 crores gross mark domestically, however, Vijay Sethupathi's Maharaja might dent its chances as it also started strongly to collect over 5+ crores gross domestically.
