Chennai, February 18 - The month of April 2022 will see a few of the biggest Indian movies hitting big screens. Pan India biggie, "KGF: Chapter 2" will be released on April 14 and clashing with Thalapathy Vijay's Tamil blockbuster "Beast" at the box office. ## Now, according to industry insiders, Tamil superstar Kamal Haasan's "Vikram" is also looking for an April release. The action thriller, directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, is nearing its shoot completion, with just ten days of shoot left in the bag.## It is reported that the climax action sequence between Kamal Haasan and Vijay Sethupathi was recently completed which was shot over a period of 15 days. As for the release date, the reports have claimed that it will be released on April 28, two weeks after Thalapathy's "Beast". ## Interestingly, "Vikram" will compete with Vijay Sethupathi, Nayanthara, and Samantha Ruth Prabhu's "Kaathuvaakula Rendu Kaadhal" at the box office. It is written, directed, and produced by Vignesh Shivan. ## "Vikram", which is produced by Kamal Haasan's Raaj Kamal Films International, also features Fahadh Faasil in the lead role. It is the first time when the trio of Kamal, Vijay Sethupathi, and FaFa has come together to share screen space. ## The film is not a sequel to the Vikram by name, though the film's official title teaser (released 7 November 2020) used a remixed version of the theme song from the 1986 film. Chennai, February 15 - Thalapathy Vijay's action thriller "Beast" is readying for April 14, 2022, release in theaters worldwide. The makers kick-started the online promotion of the film by releasing the first song, Arabic Kuthu, on Valentine's Day, and it has become an instant hit on YouTube and other social media platforms. ## Arabic Kuthu, sung by Anirudh Ravichander & Jonita Gandhi and composed by Anirudh from the lyrics penned by SivaKarthikeyan, was expected to become a big hit knowing the massive fan following of Thalapathy Vijay. It not only became a major hit but also surpassed the expectation of everyone, by becoming the most viewed and liked South Indian lyrical video song on YouTube. ## The lyrical video song of Arabic Kuthu gained 23.7 million views on YouTube in the first 24-hours, which is a record for a South Indian song. It crossed Mahesh Babu and Pooja Hegde's Kalavathi song from "Sarkaru Vaari Paata", which had 14.79 million views during the same period. Kalavathi was released a day before Arabic Kuthu. ## The "Beast" first single has also become the first South Indian lyrical video song to score over 20 million views in the first 24-hours while it also got 2.2 million likes, which is again a record in South India. Chennai, February 5 - After "Master" last year, Thalapathy Vijay is ready for his next box office monster "Beast". The upcoming action thriller was announced for April 2022 release by Sun Pictures. While the studio hasn't revealed the release date yet, the industry sources have confirmed that it would be released on April 14. ## The Sun Pictures production is creating a serious buzz among the fans and trade and seeing it as the potential blockbuster. It was originally planned to release on Pongal this year, however, due to the delay in the production thanks to the covid-19 pandemic, the makers rescheduled it for April 2022. ## The movie was announced in December 2020 as "Thalapathy 65". The shoot was commenced in March 2021 and the first look with the title was unveiled on 21 June 2021. The production of the film first took place in Georgia before it was resumed in Chennai and Delhi in India.## Written and directed by Nelson Dilipkumar, "Beast", features Pooja Hegde as the female lead alongside Selvaraghavan, Yogi Babu, and Shine Tom Chacko, among many others in key roles. Due to the rising covid cases, the films were postponed earlier but now since the cases are falling fast, one can expect many official announcements about release dates. ## Yesterday was a big day for the industry as there were a plethora of official release dates being made and some of them were the most anticipated films. The long in making and hugely awaited RRR was the first one to announce the official date. Earlier the makers of RRR were trying to come either on 18th March or 28th April but now the date has been locked which is - 25th March 2022. ## The next big announcement was about Ajith Kumar's much-awaited action thriller Valimai which will hit the screens on 24th February 2022. The film will be released in multiple languages and the trailer for the same will be out in the next couple of weeks.## The next two major announcements were Megastar Chiranjeevi's and Kortala Siva's Acharya which is coming on 29th April coinciding with Eid 2022 weekend and Mahesh Babu and Parasuram directorial Sarkaru Vaari Paata which is slated to release on 12th May in summer Holidays.## Meanwhile, Prabhas-fronted Radhe Shyam will be released on March 11, while Akshay Kumar's Bachchan Pandey already booked March 18 release date coinciding with Holi 2022. Pawan Kalyan's Bheemla Nayak booked two release dates - February 25 or April 1st, one will be finalized in the next few days based on the covid scenario.## On the other hand, KGF: Chapter 2 is gearing up for Pan India release on April 14 and will clash with Aamir Khan-starrer Lal Singh Chaddha. Aamir Khan Productions, yesterday clarified that "Laal Singh Chaddha" will arrive on April 14, 2022, as scheduled contrary to the reports of its postponement. ## The release of "Laal Singh Chaddha" will meet the much-anticipated Pan-India biggie, Yash-starrer "KGF: Chapter 2", which was long ago announced for that date. And now, Thalapathy Vijay's keenly-awaited Tamil blockbuster "Beast" is also looking for the same window. ## Directed by Nelson Dilipkumar, "Beast" hasn't set an exact release date, but it has been announced for April release. Industry sources have said that it will be released on April 14, thus confirming the blockbuster clash with KGF 2 and LSC at the box office.## However, if all three biggies decide to come out on the same date, it will be "KGF 2", which will be affected the most. Being a Pan-India film, the movie is carrying a lot of anticipation and eyeing to be a potential highest-grosser of the year. In the scenario of the clash, its chances will get a dent due to screen sharing with the other two. ## Aamir Khan's "Laal Singh Chaddha" is an outright Hindi film and is expected to do well despite the clash with "KGF 2". However, it will have a share screen which might reduce its overall box office potential. On the other hand, "Beast" too, is unlikely to affect despite the clash.
