I think he needed it the most when he committed suicide in the film. He was under so much pressure and his creative idea was not heard. He wanted to express so much that he couldn't and he screamed out the song 'Give me some sunshine' from a very dark emotional phase of his life as a young student. I just want to call him, hug him and say, 'Bhai, load maat le, sab theek ho jayega,' before he committees suicide."## Ali added: "As I am staying alone and doing all my household work right now -- jhadu-ponchha-bartan -- it is kind of boring for me. The lockdown has enabled us to stay indoors and focus on the activities that our busy schedules would not allow us to do. Reading is one of the things that I have included in my daily tasks; I dedicate at least one hour to reading as it helps me with my writing better. Therefore, if you were once an avid reader and have lost the touch of it, this is the perfect time to reconnect to your stack of untouched lying favorites.## * Fun with family## Family to me always comes first! In the times of lockdown, your family is what is going to keep you together by supporting you and making you laugh or be your partner in fun. The lockdown has brought us closer than ever. Kunal and I make sure that we engage ourselves with some of the other interesting activities. We try to indulge Inaaya in various activities such as drawing, puzzles, coloring, learning the alphabet or numbers, and sometimes we gaze out of windows and play the "I spot" game from the balcony.## * Experiment with healthy snacks## I love snacks that are filling and healthy and so does my family, hence I cook our meals that are rich in nutrients. Since almonds are one of my favorite snacks to munch on, I make sure that my recipes include a handful of almonds. They not only keep you full but also prevents you from binging on unhealthy options as they help suppress hunger in between meals. Some of my favorite dishes are Sheera with nuts, Almond Soy milk, Roasted Almonds with a spicy touch, definitely worth trying.## * Exercising with FAM Jam indoors## The lockdown has put a hold on the gyms but not on us, hence I make sure to take out time to exercise for an hour. Kunal and I motivate each other to perform the basic exercises at home. Occasionally we take Zumba and Yoga sessions for Inaaya and love to watch her groove with the music. The funniest thing is she exercises with us and it is cute to watch her try and learn the basics with us.## * Skincare routine## Maintaining the glow inside out is important. I use facemasks once in a week to exfoliate the impurities and dust from my skin. It is also important to take care from within; therefore, I hydrate myself and intake lots of water. Make sure to include Vitamin E in your diet as it may help in imparting anti-aging properties and benefits skin health. I make sure to include almonds in my diet and make it a part of my beauty routine as it fills my body up with the right nutrients. I also make sure to use a Vitamin C facial oil for my skin.## The lockdown isn't necessarily a bad thing, it is not! Manushi Chhillar: Supply free sanitary pads with ration to poor

Mumbai, April 24 (IANS) Former Miss World Mansuhi Chhillar has urged state governments to distribute sanitary pads along with daily ration to the underprivileged.## Manushi lauds the government's decision to include sanitary pads as essential commodities amid the COVID-19 crisis. However, she explains that underprivileged women have become prone to severe risks due to shortage of funds in the hands of daily wage earners because of SARS-CoV-2 -- the terminology now being used by the medical fraternity to describe the novel coronavirus globally.## "I'm hugely thankful that sanitary pads have been listed as an essential commodity by the government of India during the SARS-CoV-2 crisis. However, we need to focus on how women, especially from the economically handicapped strata, can get pads free of cost. I also urge the governments of various states to kindly look into distributing sanitary pads along with daily rations to the underprivileged," she said.## Manushi backs Project Shakti, a non-profit program, that has joined hands with local women across India and has empowered them to make a living by educating them to make biodegradable sanitary pads. The initiative works towards raising awareness on menstrual hygiene among women in the local communities of these women.## "The issue is that due to the shortage of funds, particularly among the daily wage earners, most would be looking to spend their money on just food and women's sanitation might not be a top priority for many families. This would increase the health hazard for millions of women in India as sanitary pads come at a certain cost and the financial crisis is definitely going to push women to be at risk," she added.## Manushi said she has spoken to organizations who are working non-stop in ensuring pads are distributed free of cost.## "But it would be great if administration, from a district level to city to state-level comes forward to help the needy."## On the work front. "The show took place in early February 2005. Both dad and I were shooting for 'Kajra re' with Aishwarya for 'Bunty Aur Babli'. I would shoot the song all day from 9 am to 10 pm and then drive to the concert venue and rehearse all night," he wrote.## "At night, after the shoot, I remember when I reached the venue for my rehearsal all the lights were off!!! Lyricist Prashant Ingole pens poem supporting lockdown

Mumbai, April 24 (IANS) Lyricist Prashant Ingole, who has penned songs in films like "Bajirao Mastani" and "Mary Kom", has written a poem titled "Naadaan", urging people not to go out during the COVID-19 lockdown period.## The Indian government has imposed lockdown till May 3 but not all seem to be following it.## "It's very sad to see people around the world trying to be dumb and failing to understand the gravity of coronavirus and the lockdown. Seeing people in herds in India to buy vegetables breaking the social distancing rules, with no masks is disheartening," he said.## "Unfortunately, in India, I have never seen people valuing life and this seems to be just the routine for them. By going out, we are not only putting our lives in danger but our families' lives at stake too and at the same time, our country is at high risk," he added.## He urged people to follow the lockdown guidelines.## Meanwhile, Prashant has donated a certain sum of his fees for a song that he had worked on, to an NGO feeding the underprivileged.## He refused to reveal the amount but shared that it can be used for feeding 100 people for 18 days.## "Life is magical. Let's not try to save money for the future which may not come rather help people today who really are in need," he said.## "I feel and believe the most important aspect now is to support underprivileged people who consist of the major chunk in India and the medical staff who are at the forefront of this battlefield. Mumbai, April 24 (IANS) Jigar Saraiya, of the popular composer duo Sachin-Jigar, says the only silver lining about the ongoing COVID-19 lockdown for the music industry is that since films and film music will get delayed, independent music might get a little more space.## The film industry has taken a huge hit owing to the lockdown, and what kind of a blow does he think is in store for the music industry?## "If we talk about hard-hit, (think of) our film released on March 13, 'Angrezi Medium'. The film could only stay in theatres for one day because the cinema halls got locked down a day after that. The most affected film is our film but at the same time, the most successful song of this year is 'Kudi nu nachne de' -- which is from that film. I think the song has benefited from the lockdown because people are at home, dancing to that song and making their videos," Jigar told IANS.## He said that the lockdown has two effects. "It is going to affect everybody right from CEO's to musicians, business people... everybody will face difficulties... How do you recover from such a big halt? Shriya Pilgaonkar: My route unconventional compared to other celeb kids

Mumbai, April 24 (IANS) Shriya Pilgaonkar, daughter of talented actors Sachin and Supriya Pilgaonkar, feels her way of getting launched in mainstream cinema as an actress was quite different from most star kids.## "Compared to a lot of celebrity kids who have become actors, I feel the route I chose was quite unconventional in terms of the kind of work I started with. I started my journey doing a Marathi film, then I did a French film. So, for me it was not just about becoming an actor but also about honing my skills," Shriya told IANS.## Before foraying acting, Shriya worked as an assistant director on several projects.## "After graduating from college, I started learning Kathak and while I was learning Kathak, I was also working as an AD on several films and making short films. Acting happened very organically once I started doing theatre. It was not something that I had decided I would s do," she added.## Shriya made her Bollywood opposite Shah Rukh Khan in the 2016 film, "Fan". Later, she proved her mettle in the web show "Mirzapur".## Speaking of her journey so far, the young actress spoke of how her parents have always been a great source of inspiration.## "I feel blessed to be their daughter. They both have inspired me a lot. From discussing cinema to giving advice, they have always helped me through my thick and thin," she said.## Apart from films and web shows, Shriya works in plays, too. Recently, she featured in a virtual play, "Lockdown Love", to lighten up the mood of people amid the COVID-19 lockdown.## "It was a great experience performing live. It is a play about how a girl and guy who meet during the lockdown and start dating each other. So, it was a fun activity. We even rehearsed online and even changed our costumes like we normally do. Anita Raaj in trouble for allegedly hosting party amid COVID-19 lockdown

Mumbai, April 23 (IANS) A complaint has been registered against actress Anita Raaj for allegedly throwing a party amid the ongoing COVID-19 lockdown.## Anita and her husband Sunil Hingorani were reportedly accused by neighbours for hosting a party for their friends, reports timesofindia.com, flouting the nationwide lockdown imposed by the government in order to curb the spread of the deadly novel coronavirus.## According to the report, the neighbours said that the 57-year-old actress Anita and her filmmaker husband had invited guests at their Pali Hill residence.## The report quoted a source who revealed that the neighbours were concerned about the threat the party posed due to the visitors in the vicinity, following which the local police were informed.## However, Anita Raaj, in a statement, said that it was a medical emergency and police came on a false complaint.## Stay tuned...

Sonu Sood to feed over 25,000 migrants during Ramzan

Mumbai, April 23 (IANS) Actor Sonu Sood has decided to provide meal kits to over 25,000 migrants on a daily basis in Mumbai during the Muslim holy month of Ramzan, which begins from Thursday.## "Times are so difficult today that it's very important for each one of us to stand for each other. Through this initiative, I would be helping all those who would be fasting during this period and we would provide special meal kits so they don't stay hungry after fasting all day," Sonu said.## The initiative will help these migrants who have come from faraway places like Bengal, Karnataka, Uttar Pradesh, and Bihar.## Before this, Sonu started a ration drive to help the needy during the ongoing lockdown.## Under an initiative called Shakti, Annadanam launched in the name of his late father Shakti Sagar Sood, Sonu aims to feed more than 45,000 people on a daily basis in Mumbai.## He also offered his hotel in Juhu for healthcare workers including doctors, nurses, and paramedical staff.## Stay tuned...
