The September 21st edition of AEW Dynamite (Grand Slam) crowned the new AEW World Champion! ## In the main Bryan Danielson battled Jon Moxley in the Tournament of Champions final to crown a new world champion. MJF was seen watching the match in a luxury box with his casino chip. ## The match went back and forth with the business of various submission holds and nearfalls. In the end, the two landed on the ramp and Moxley hit Bryan with the Death Rider. ## Bryan rolls into the ring and Moxley puts on a sleeper submission. It seems like, Bryan Danielson is heading for the AEW World Championship right now following the fallout from All Out has shaken up creative plans for the title. ## Speaking with Sports Illustrated he spoke about, among other things, his animated quest for the AEW World Championship, which has now changed plans. Possibly counter-intuitive, the championship isn't really about being the 'top guy'. ## As he confirmed: ## “For me, it’s not about being the top guy. I don’t care about that. And it’s not about leading the locker room. You can be a leader without the title. ## “I like the feeling of big championship matches. Championship matches are my favorite kind of matches to wrestle. Those matches, they’ve got a different tension. I love the feeling of a big title match.
