Los Angeles, November 9 - Sony Pictures' next Marvel superhero movie Venom 3 has an official release date. The movie was originally announced for July 12, 2024, but it was always tentative due to the actors' strike, which has now ended after SAG-AFTRA approved the deal. ## The Tom Hardy-led third instalment of "Venom" will commence production in the next few days and Sony has officially set a November 8, 2024, release date for the movie. Kelly Marcel, who wrote and produced the first two "Venom" movies, directs the upcoming superhero film from a story she wrote with Hardy.## The first two films in the franchise opened in the October month in 2018 and 2021, respectively. The first movie was a big hit for the studio with a worldwide gross collection of $856 million while "Venom 2: Let There Be Carnage", which was released during the pandemic, managed to score $502 million. ## Meanwhile, Marvel Studios' Deadpool 3 is set for summer 2024 release. Los Angeles, June 13 - Disney is shaking up its release calendar, including the entire Marvel slate along with James Cameron's "Avatar" movies and adding a new "Star Wars" movie and "Moana" live-action adaptation to the schedule, according to Variety.## Cameron's "Avatar" franchise will reach its conclusion in 2031 with a fifth film, 22 years after the original 2009 blockbuster. As per the new Disney release calendar, "Avatar 3" has shifted to December 2025, followed by "Avatar 4" to December 2029, and "Avatar 5" to December 2031. ## Among its high-profile release slate, Disney has added up a live-action "Moana" film for June 2025, debut, and an untitled "Star Wars" movie on December 2026. ## Meanwhile, the studio has reshuffled the entire Marvel slate. "Deadpool 3" has moved up from November 8, 2024, to May 3, 2024. "Captain America: Brave New World" is moving from May 2024 to July 2024 and this led to delays in other Marvel movies, including "Thunderbolts" to December 2024, "Blade" to February 2025, and "Fantastic Four" to May 2025. ## "Avengers: The Kang Dynasty" is getting pushed back an entire year, from May 2025 to May 2026. It is said that Blade, which was supposed to release on November 3, 2023, will now be hitting theaters on September 6, 2024. The movie was to start production in 2022, but the search for the director is still on and the production has been delayed to early 2023. ## The delay in "Blade" production has created a cascade in Marvel's schedule. The untitled Deadpool 3 movie is moving to November 8, 2024, from September 6, 2024. The film stars Ryan Reynolds and has brought Hugh Jackman out of retirement as Wolverine. Los Angeles, September 28 - Ryan Reynolds' Deadpool is all set to make his Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) debut with the third Deadpool film, and what could be the biggest cinema news of the year is that it will be bringing Hugh Jackman as Wolverine. ## Hugh Jackman, who officially retired from the role to much fanfare with 2017's Logan, will be returning to his signature X-Men role in the upcoming Deadpool 3, Ryan Reynolds announced on Tuesday via Twitter. The actor also announced that the movie will open in theaters on September 6, 2024.## Jackman first played Wolverine in 2000's X-Men, and after 17 years and nine films (including cameos), Jackman officially retired from the role with 2017's Logan, in which the adamantium clawed mutant was killed off. Wolverine has been a character that made Jackman a huge global star. ## It is not the first time that Ryan's Deadpool and Jackman's Wolverine will be coming together. Los Angeles, September 13 - Netflix's sci-fi horror drama series, Stanger Things has been a smash hit worldwide and is getting ready for its fifth and final season, which is currently in the writing stage. Meanwhile, Netflix is planning to follow in the footsteps of MCU regarding Stranger Things. ## Series executive producer and director Shawn Levy said that he working on the idea of creating a Stranger Things Cinematic Universe (STCU). ## "Yes, we are building out the STCU, and now that I'm spending time with Kevin Feige, I'm learning a lot about how to manage a universe", Levy said in an interview with Variety. "So I'm taking those skills and applying them to the STCU". ## ICYDK, Levy has been hired to direct the next installment in the Deadpool franchise and has been working with Marvel boss Kevin Feige on the upcoming movie. He was asked if there could be a crossover between the residents of Hawkins and Wade Wilson aka the Deadpool.## "Funnily enough, (Deadpool" star Ryan (Reynolds) and I were trying to figure out how in the world could we do a 'Deadpool' - 'Stranger Things' crossover", he said. Los Angeles, July 27 - Marvel Studios once again has proved that it is way ahead of its competitors and certainly the biggest movie brand in the world. After the "Avengers: Endgame", there were a lot of questions about what is next in the store Marvel, but now, Marvel has answered all the questions at once by lining up titles till 2025. ## At the San Diego Cinema-Con 2022, held a couple of days ago, Marvel Studios revealed its theatrical and streaming plans till 2025 in Phase 5 and 6 apart from the ongoing Phase 4 which will conclude with Black Panther: Wakanda Forever in November this year. Phase 5 will start with "Ant-Man 3" (Feb. 17, 2023) and will conclude with "Thunderbolts" (July 26, 2024). ## Taking a step ahead, Marvel also announced Phase 6, in which 11 titles have been announced, including two new Avengers movies that will release in May and November 2025 and "Fantastic Four" (Nov. 8, 2024). Meanwhile, Marvel also confirmed the release dates of 8 untitled movies in Phase 6. While the studio surprisingly has not revealed the titles of those films, there are at least 5 projects that are confirmed to fill those slots. ## 1. Shang-Chi 2 - The sequel to 2021's blockbuster has already been announced and will surely take one of the slots in Phase 6. Director Destin Daniel Cretton, who has been attached to direct "Avengers: The Kang Dynasty", will return to helm "Shang-Chi 2" while Simu Liu will be reprising the title role. ## 2. Deadpool 3 - Another anticipated Marvel movie that was not announced officially at Cinema-Con but it will come out sometimes in 2024 or 2025. Ryan Reynolds will return to reprise his role in this R-rated film. Deadpool 3 writer Rhett Reese recently teased the plot details and confirmed that the movie will keep its R-rated tone. ## 3. Spider-Man 4 - Sony Pictures confirmed after the release of "Spider-Man: No Way Home" that they are working on one more Spider-Man trilogy with Tom Holland. It is almost confirmed that the next Spider-Man movie will debut in Phase 6 and is likely to release in late 2024. ## 4. Nova - Earlier this year, Deadline reported that "Moon Knight" writer Sabir Pirzada has been attached to write a Nova project for Marvel. While it is not yet confirmed whether it will be a feature film or a limited series for Disney+, it will surely debut in Phase 6. If reports are to be believed, it will be a feature film. ## 5. Armor Wars - One of the most exciting projects that was not announced in SDCC 2022, due to unknown reasons. However, the show's head writer Yassir Lester confirmed that the show hasn't been canceled. Though there is no shooting timeline set yet, the show will most likely to release in MCU's Phase 6. ## Apart from the aforementioned titles that are almost confirmed to release in Phase 6, the other projects that could fill these gaps are The Mutants or another X-Men series/film, Young Avengers, Hawkeye Season 2, Eternals 2, the already-announced Ten Rings series, a Wakanda series, Doctor Strange 3, and Thor 5. ## Stay tuned...
