Mumbai, February 20 - Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan makes his debut in the 1000 crores club at the worldwide box office, thanks to the historic blockbuster Pathaan. ## The spy action thriller, directed by Siddharth Anand, has been running riot since its release on January 25 this year. Keeping domestic box office aside, Pathaan's overseas box office performance is eye-popping with approx. $46 million (380 crores gross). ## When combined with the Rs. 620 crores that the film has earned at the domestic box office, Pathaan's worldwide total has now crossed 1000 crores in just 27 days. ## The Yash Raj Films production is the first Bollywood movie to breach the 1000 crores mark without China and with China, overall, it is the second. Previously, Aamir Khan's Dangal has scored over 21 crores worldwide, including approx. 1300 crores from China alone.## Pathaan is also only the 5th Indian movie to reach the historic figure. Mumbai, February 16 - Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan's "Pathaan" is on the historic box office run and racing towards the 1000 crores mark globally. The spy actioner has grossed around 970 crores worldwide to date in all versions. ## Directed by Siddharth Anand, "Pathaan" has also become the first Bollywood movie ever to reach 500 crores net mark, and to celebrate this historical success, Yash Raj Films and National Cinema chains have decided to slash the ticket prices on Friday. ## According to reports, top theater chains of India - PVR, Inox, Cinepolis, Miraj, Movietime, MuktaA2 & other participating cinemas have come together to celebrate this coming Friday (February 17) as 'Pathaan Day'. The spy actioner is racing towards the epic box office milestone of 1000 crores worldwide. ## Directed by Siddharth Anand, "Pathaan" has become the first ever Bollywood movie to hit 500 crores net collection. The movie scored approx. 499 crores net through the 3rd Tuesday in all versions, and at the time of penning this piece, it has breached Rs. 5 billion mark. ## The Hindi version of "Pathaan" has earned approx. 482 crores net through 3rd Tuesday (21 days). It is already the highest-grossing Hindi title and has already scored more than 100 crores than the second-placed "Dangal" which scored approx. 374 crores net in Hindi. ## "Pathaan", meanwhile, is chasing history to become the biggest Hindi grosser ever at the domestic box office. Currently, SS Rajamouli's "Baahubali 2" is the number 1 grosser with 511 crores net. Apart from scoring huge box office numbers, "Pathaan" has brought audiences to theaters in large numbers which no other Bollywood movie could do in recent times. ## Directed by Siddharth Anand, "Pathaan" is among the biggest Indian blockbusters of all time in terms of theater admissions/footfalls. While most of the big-budget films finished below 50 lakh footfalls, "Pathaan" has just hit 3 crores theater footfalls which is the highest for a Bollywood movie since Salman Khan's "Tiger Zinda Hai". ## "Pathaan" hit 3 crores in footfalls yesterday (3rd Monday) in all versions (Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu). The original Hindi version admissions through the 3rd Monday are approx. 2.86 crores which are the 19th highest for a Bollywood film of all time. ## Salman Khan and Madhuri Dixit's "Hum Aapke Hain Koun..!" is the all-time number 1 Bollywood/Hindi as well as Indian movie in terms of footfalls with approx. 7.40 crores, according to Box of India. Mumbai, February 12 - Spy action thriller, "Pathaan" starring superstar Shah Rukh Khan is running riot at the box office and crossed 900 crores mark within three weeks. ## Also starring John Abraham and Deepika Padukone, "Pathaan" is racing towards 1000 crores at the global box office looking at the current trend, thanks to the historic extended opening week in which the movie grossed approx. 697 crores globally, including 260 crores overseas. ## After such a massive week, "Pathaan" dropped around 78% globally in the second week for approx. 191 crores, reaching 888 crores after two weeks (16 days). The third week too had strong numbers, scoring approx. 47 crores net. Produced by Yash Raj Films, "Pathaan's" total collection after the full is approx. 976 crores gross worldwide. It will have competition from February 17 when "Shehzada" and "Ant-Man 3" will release. Mumbai, February 10 - Pathaan is heading towards another good day at the box office going by the early estimate figures which suggest around 5 crores net mark on its third Friday. The hold once again has given a chance to the film to cross the collections of Bahubali: The Conclusion.## The third Friday collections will take the total tally of Pathaan to around 464cr net box office mark and now the film needs just another 50cr collection to emerge as the highest-grossing film in the Hindi language beating Bahubali: The Conclusion. ## There will be a growth in the collections tomorrow as it is a Saturday when multiplexes see huge walk-ins while single screens will see it's the best day on Sunday. If Pathaan manages to collect around 18-20cr net on Saturday and Sunday then even a 525cr net mark is also possible.## There have been a few films that have seen a release due to valentine's week like Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jaayenge, Jab We Met, and Tamasha but these were limited to one or two screens only. Los Angeles, February 10 - Shah Rukh Khan-fronted blockbuster "Pathaan" has become the second highest-grossing Indian film in North America, which is one of the biggest international movie markets for Indian titles. ## The spy action thriller, directed by Siddharth Anand, has grossed approx. $14.95 million (123 crores) in 16 days so far at the North American box office. It has outscored SS Rajamouli's mega-blockbuster "RRR" which has grossed $14.90 million and become the all-time second-biggest Indian and biggest Bollywood movie there. ## Rajamouli's "Baahubali The Conclusion" is currently the number one Indian title in North America with approx. $22 million. "Pathaan" will most likely finish around $17 million though it has a chance to beat "Baahubali 2" in admissions. ## Among the top 5 biggest Indian movies there, Aamir Khan's "Dangal" is at number 4 with approx. $12.40 million, followed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali's "Padmaavat" at 5 with approx. $12.17 million.## Meanwhile, the Yash Raj Films' production is nearing 900 crores at the global box office. Mumbai, February 9 - Pathaan is continuing with its steady run at the box office as the early estimate collections suggest 5.50-6 crores net on its third Thursday which is around a 10-12% drop from yesterday's collections. Even yesterday the film had shown a similar drop.## The third Thursday collections will take the total collections of Pathaan to around 459cr net box office mark as per early estimates. Pathaan has another free week and the first sign of competition will arrive the next week with Shehzada. Overall the job has been done and Pathaan has emerged as one of the biggest box-office hits of the last 15 years. ## The overseas numbers are never seen before as the film is heading for close to the 50 million mark. The previous best were Dangal, Padmaavat, Bajrangi Bhaijaan and Dhoom3 all of them were in the 28-30 million range. The overseas record will stay for some years unless another Shah Rukh Khan starrer gets huge appreciation there which is possible with Dunki which is directed by Raj Kumar Hirani. Also, the release date is better than Pathaan as Xmas is the best period for overseas business. ## The overseas numbers helped Pathaan to put a massive worldwide collection where it has beaten every film in the Hindi film industry in the first phase. Mumbai, February 8 - Pathaan continues to hold well after a fantastic second weekend where it emerged as one of the biggest second weekends ever. As per the early estimates, the movie scored around 6.50-7 crores net on its third Wednesday. ## The film is showing a drop of around 10-12% daily which is a good sign. The ticket rates of the film are now more to regular levels and hence the collections are looking good only but with the same pricing as on weekends, the collections would have been excellent. The ticket rates should have been kept on the higher side as it would have helped the film to cross the Bahubali2 numbers which are still possible but not easy. ## The third Wednesday collections will take the total collections of Pathaan to around 453Cr net box office mark becoming the only Bollywood film in history to cross this landmark. The film needs around 50Cr to join the 500cr mark which will make it one of the biggest blockbusters of the last 15 years and 60cr to emerge as the highest-grossing film ever in Hindi languages. ## Pathaan has a free run of another week or so and this has proved to be a huge plus for the film. There should be higher footfalls in the next couple of days for Pathaan due to valentine's week which although is not an official holiday but multiplexes do see higher walk-ins. The worldwide numbers are historic and overseas numbers are never seen before for Pathaan. The movie has already broken several records for a Bollywood as well as an Indian movie at the domestic and overseas box office. ## Directed by Siddharth Anand, "Pathaan" is chasing history as far as the Hindi language collection is concerned. The movie, also starring John Abraham and Deepika Padukone, has already become the biggest Bollywood grosser domestically, beating "Dangal", and now, it has surpassed mighty "KGF: Chapter 2" to become the second biggest movie in the Hindi language. ## Until the third Wednesday (15 days), "Pathaan" minted 436.75 crores net in the original Hindi version, and has beaten "KGF 2" (435 crores) to become the second biggest Hindi grossrer of all-time. "Pathaan" is now behind SS Rajamouli's "Baahubali The Conclusion" which scored 510 crores net. ## "Pathaan" will get a free run till February 17 when Kartik Aaryan's "Shehzada" and Marvel Studios' "Ant-Man 3" will release. In these 9 days (before Feb. 17), the movie will target, at least, 50-60 crores net which will take its total collection to around 490 crores net before the two aforementioned films arrive. It will be a tough road ahead from there on but "Pathaan" will still have an outside chance to beat "Baahubali 2" which remains to see. ## Meanwhile, the YRF biggie has crossed 450 crores net in all versions with today's collection. As per the early estimates, the movie scored 7.50-8 crores net on its second Tuesday. The film will continue to show similar sorts of drops in the next subsequent days which is a regular for these types of front-loaded biggies. The ticket rates have also come down to regular levels from blockbusters weekend pricing and considering that the hold here is a huge plus. ## The second Tuesday collections will take the total collections of Pathaan to around 446cr net box office mark depending on the actual second Tuesday numbers. Tomorrow the film will cross the landmark figure of 450cr and become the only second film in history to cross this benchmark in the Hindi language after Bahubali: The Conclusion. ## The lifetime business is hard to predict but that historic 500cr number looks within the range unless the film shows far bigger drops than expected. Whether the film will beat Bahubali: The Conclusion to emerge as the highest-grossing film of all time is still a question but let's hope for the best that it does cross Bahubali2 to show the true potential of films in today's time.
