Mumbai, July 4 - Bollywood superstar Ajay Devgn has begun working on his 4th directorial venture, "Bholaa". The Hindi remake of the Tamil hit "Kaithi", was supposed to be directed by Dharmendra Sharma, who has now reportedly been replaced with Devgn, who is also producing and playing the lead role in the movie. ## Ajay Devgn received praise for his recent directorial, "Runway 34". The movie performed decently in theaters but has been finding appreciation off late from the audience following its premiere on the OTT platform, especially Devgn's direction. He has previously directed "U Me Aur Hum", and "Shivaay". ## The actor took to Twitter and shared the news with a photo of himself sitting behind the camera. "It's time to say ACTION again! Meanwhile, Devgn is set to finish principal photography on his fourth directorial Bholaa by August 20. Tabu is playing the female lead in the movie.## Bholaa is the remake of the Tamil action thriller "Kaithi", directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj. The original film revolves around a prisoner, played by Karthi, who comes to the aid of the police when they are attacked by a gang of smugglers. Chennai, June 10 - Director Lokesh Kanagaraj is in the top form as he has delivered another blockbuster in the form of "Vikram", fronted by Kamal Haasan. Lokesh has directed only 4 films till now and all of them have been huge box office hits. ## Meanwhile, the talented filmmaker is creating his own cinematic universe and "Vikram" is the second film in that. It continues from Karthi's "Kaithi" which made Lokesh an overnight sensation. The director is now working on the sequel to 2019's film and it will be his next film in his unofficial LCU (Lokesh Cinematic Universe). ## During the recent Twitter session with fans, director Lokesh gave hints about Arjun Das's character, and now, he has revealed basic plot details of the movie. "Kaithi 2" will mainly focus on Karthi's character 'Dilli' and will showcase his background story. ## Lokesh Kanagaraj, during the success meet of "Vikram", revealed that Dilli is a Kabbadi player and won many cups while he was in jail. In the original movie, Dilli carried a bag with him and Lokesh revealed that there were cups in his bags which he won while playing Kabbadi in jail. As he didn't explore the aforementioned things in the first part, he will mainly focus on Dilli's background story and Kabbadi. ## There is no shooting timeline set yet for "Kaithi 2". Lokesh will next focus on Thalapathy Vijay's film which is expected to begin later this year. Chennai, June 8 - Director Lokesh Kanagaraj has become the talk of the town after delivering another blockbuster in the form of Kamal Haasan-fronted "Vikram". The director is creating his own cinematic universe called 'Lokesh Cinematic Universe', and "Vikram" is the second film in it.## The first film in LCU was Karthi's "Kathi" (2019), which became a huge hit and made Kanagaraj an overnight sensation. "Vikram" continues from "Kaithi" and follows a black-ops squad led by Amar tracking down masked vigilantes, while he learns of a drug syndicate group called Vetti Vagaiyara, led by Sandhanam, who wants the missing drugs to be delivered to his cold-blooded boss Rolex. ## The next film in the series will be "Kaithi 2" and the director has himself confirmed the movie in a recent Twitter session with fans. During an #AskDirLokesh Twitter session, one user asked how did Arjun Das' character (named Anbudoss "Anbu") alive after he was presumed dead in "Kaithi". ## Responding to the user, Lokesh said that he wasn't dead in the movie as only his jew was broken. Mumbai, January 13 - Bollywood superstar Ajay Devgn had confirmed last year that he would be headlining the Hindi remake of the Tamil blockbuster "Kaithi". It has now been revealed that the Hindi remake of this much-anticipated action thriller film is titled "Bholaa", and it has already commenced filming in January this year.## The Hindi remake of "Kaithi" is being directed by Dharmendra Sharma, who is Devgn's cousin while the cinematography is being handled by Aseem Bajaj. Ajay Devgn is producing the film under his banner Ajay Devgn Ffilms in association with Dream Warrior Pictures of the original film and T-Series and Reliance Entertainment. ## Ajay Devgn took to Twitter and announced the movie and also confirmed that it will release on March 30, 2023, worldwide. Mumbai, July 5, 2021: Bollywood's love affair with remakes is not hidden from audiences. The largest film industry in the country, Bollywood has mastered adapting films from different languages - be it regional or international, and also able to give them a Bollywood touch to lure the Hindi audiences. ## In the last one and a half-decade, Bollywood stars have done films like Ghajini, Gabbar Is Back, Force, Singham, Shubh Mangal Saavdhan, Simmba, Son of Sardaar, Wanted, Rowdy Rathore, Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani, Kabir Singh, and Baaghi, which all are remakes of Tamil and Telugu films but proved to be some of the highest grosser of its respective release years. ## Even though the Hindi filmmakers have often been criticized for the lack of fresh ideas, they continued to acquire the Hindi remakes of other languages. And it looks like they have no plan to stop adapting good films into Hindi anytime soon, even though the audience likly to invest in fresh content as the covid-19 pandemic might have made them more opinionated than before. ## Well, opinion aside, Bollywood filmmakers still believe that the Hindi audience's interest in the remake hasn't waned yet and they will watch whenever they get a chance. It is a remake of the 2019 Telugu movie of the same name starring Nani in the lead role. Ajay Devgn is also doing the Hindi version of the 2019 Tamil action thriller film, Kaithi. Ajay in association with Dil Raju also acquired the remake rights of the 2021 Telugu hit, Naandhi. ## Recently, it was revealed that Akshay Kumar's next film with Bell Bottom makers is the remake of the 2018 Tamil psychological crime thriller film, Ratsasan. Last year, John Abraham had bought the rights to the 2020 Malayalam thriller film Ayyappanum Koshiyum, in which he will also be starring alongside Abhishek Bachchan. ## Acclaimed filmmaker, S Shankar announced that he will be remaking his own 2005 Tamil film, Anniyan in Hindi with Ranveer Singh playing the lead role. The film will mark Shankar's return to Hindi films twenty years after his only Hindi directorial, Nayak (2001) that starred Anil Kapoor in the lead. Kabir Singh producer Murad Khetani of Cine1 Studios along with Endemol Shine India, and 7 Screen Studio also bought the remake rights of the 2021's biggest hit Tamil film, Master, starring Thalapathy Vijay and Vijay Sethupathy. Salman Khan is said to be starring the Hindi remake. ## There are some reports claiming that Salman Khan has bought the Hindi remake rights of Ravi Teja's upcoming film, Khiladi. Boney Kapoor is remaking the 2021 Malayalam political thriller, One along with 'Helen' with his daughter Janhavi Kapoor in the lead, followed by the 2019 Tamil film 'Comali' with his son Arjun Kapoor. ## The time and cinema viewing might have changed for others, it is still hasn't changed much for Hindi filmmakers when it comes to remakes. Mumbai, June 14, 2021: In February 2020, Reliance Entertainment had confirmed that the production house has bought the Hindi remake rights of Lokesh Kanagaraj directorial Kaithi, which stars Karthi in the lead role. Bollywood superstar Ajay Devgn is signed to play the lead role in the Hindi remake of the Tamil film. ## However, according to reports, the Hindi remake of Kaithi will undergo many changes and will be different from the original movie. While the Tamil movie had no leading actress, Kajal Aggarwal is likely to romance Ajay Devgn in the Hindi version. It is said that makers are planning to include a heroine and a flashback episode with Ajay. ## If reports are to be believed, then Kajal is all set to reunite with Devgn after the 2011 blockbuster Singham. Kajal's inclusion in the Kaithi remake means, it is set to be remodeled as a commercial entertainer, unlike the Tami version, which was a bona fide action thriller. ## Interestingly, director Lokesh Kanagaraj's films are selling like hotcakes in Bollywood.
