Kiara Advani Roped In For Hrithik Roshan and Jr. NTR's 'War 2'

Mumbai, June 16 - Yash Raj Films' mega movie War 2, which will be directed by Ayan Mukerji, is getting bigger on the casting front. ## Earlier, this year, it was revealed that Telugu superstar Jr. NTR will be making his Bollywood as well as YRF's Spy Universe debut with "War 2" and will join Hrithik Roshan in the lead role. Now, the makers have roped in Kiara Advani to play one of the female leads in the film. ## Aditya Chopra and Ayan Mukerji believe that Kiara Advani fits for the role she has been chosen for as far as Spy Universe and War 2 are concerned. Box Office: Adipurush (Hindi) Opening Day/First Friday Early Estimates

Mumbai, June 16 - The mega release of the day, Adipurush starring Prabhas and directed by Om Raut has been released at the box office to an unprecedented start. The film was always likely to have an excellent start as it is based on an epic Ramayan but still this sort of start and that too on nonholiday is extraordinary. ## The early estimated collections for the first day of Adipurush in the Hindi version indicate at least 35 crores net. If the night shows perform really well, then a 40cr net opening day is also within reach. The film will easily be the second-highest opening of 2023 in the Hindi version after Pathaan. Even if you take a nonholiday then Adipurush will be the third-highest opener ever in the Hindi version after Pathaan and Prabhas' own Bahubali: The Conclusion.## The reports of the film are mixed just like every event film but that will hardly matter for the general audience who is seeing the film due to the Ramayan factor. The weekend business will be humongous for sure and it has a chance to challenge the Baahubali: The Conclusion numbers in the first weekend. Adipurush Sells Over 1 Million Tickets In Advance For The Opening Day

Mumbai, June 15 - One of the most anticipated Indian films of the year, Adipurush is finally hitting big screens tomorrow in multiple languages. The movie, based on the epic Ramayana, is directed by Om Raut and stars Prabhas as Lord Rama, Kriti Sanon as Sita, and Saif Ali Khan as Raavan, among others in key roles. ## "Adipurush" is the major attempt to adapt Ramayana and it seems that the Indians are eager to experience this epic on the big screen which is clearly visible in the pre-booking. The advance booking of the movie was opened on Sunday (June 11) and since then, the response to pre-sales has been exceptional. ## The movie has sold over 1 million tickets in advance for all versions, and becomes the second Indian movie of the year to score this much sales after "Pathaan". The advance tickets sold are around 1.2 million (not counting block seats), which is the highest this year. ## The Hindi version of the movie has sold around 500K, which is short of "Brahmastra: Part 1" (600K tickets). All-Time Blockbuster 'The Kerala Story' Crosses 300 Crores At The Worldwide Box Office

Mumbai, June 14 - Director Sudipto Sen's drama film The Kerala Story is nearing its end at the box office but it has done more than what was asked for. The movie has emerged as one of the biggest blockbusters of all time with its phenomenal collection. ## Starring Adah Sharma, "The Kerala Story" has crossed the 300 crores mark at the global box office, and becomes only the 2nd Bollywood movie of the year to do so. It has so far grossed approx. 302 crores, including approx. 15.50 crores overseas box office in 49 days. ## At the domestic box office, TKS grossed around 286.50 crores (including 3 crores of Telugu version) to date, which is the second biggest for a Bollywood movie this year after Shah Rukh Khan's "Pathaan". Post the covid-19 pandemic, TKS is 5th Bollywood film to breach the 300 crores mark at the worldwide box office. ## Produced by Vipul Amrutlal Shah of Sunshine Pictures, TKS is made on a budget of just 15-20 crores and it is one of the rarest Indian movies ever to gross over 300 crores with such low budget. Box Office: 'Adipurush' To Emerge The Biggest Opener For An Indian Movie of 2023

Mumbai, June 15 - The stage is set for superstar Prabhas-fronted magnum opus Adipurush which releases this Friday (June 16) in multiple languages. The Om Raut's directorial has been one of the most anticipated Indian movies and it is expected to emerge as one of the biggest hits of the year. ## The advance booking of the film was opened on Sunday (June 11) in Hindi while the Telugu booking started yesterday (June 14). The response to the pre-booking has been excellent so far, especially in the Telugu version which is witnessing houseful shows across Telugu states.## As reported earlier, "Adipurush" is all set to emerge as the biggest Indian opener of the year, beating Shah Rukh Khan's "Pathaan" which scored 67 crores gross collection in all languages in January. "Adipurush" is expecting 100-110 crores gross at the domestic box office in all versions. ## The Telugu version of the movie is projected to score around 55-65 crore gross while the Hindi version, which will be key for the film's overall success, is expected to open around 35-40 crore gross number. Mumbai, June 14 - Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar reunites with his "Rustom" director Tinu Suresh Desai for a rescue thriller film which has been titled The Great Indian Rescue. ## The film is based on a mining engineer Jaswant Singh Gill, who rescued 64 miners at the Raniganj Coalfields in 1989. Mumbai, June 13 - Superstar Prabhas-fronted Adipurush is having a good response in advance booking collection, domestically and overseas. In India, the movie already has sold over 150K tickets for the opening day and is looking to score one of the biggest pre-sales by the time it releases. ## While the epic drama was expected to have good pre-sales in India, it is also seeing encouraging responses in the key international markets. In the USA, it has so far scored approx. $800K (6.60 crores) with 42K advance tickets sold for the opening day, including premiere.## In Australia, the pre-sales for the opening day is approx. A$150K (83 lacs) so far while in the UK, the pre-sales are around £55K (50 lacs) and around €5K (4.5 lacs) in Germany. Ali Abbas Zafar Intends To Make Shahid Kapoor's 'Bloody Daddy' Sequel For Theaters

His next big screen release is Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff-fronted "Bade Miyan Chote Miyan" which is slated for Eid 2024. ## Meanwhile, the filmmaker may have been away from theaters, but he wasn't away from filmmaking during these last couple of years. He came up with three OTT titles, including the recently released "Bloody Daddy" with Shahid Kapoor. ## "Bloody Daddy" was directly released on Jio Cinema and got mixed responses from the viewers. However, the movie left the director's core audiences asking if the movie could have a theatrical release and if there could be a sequel to it. ## During a recent interview with Hindustan Times, Ali Abbas Zafar said that "It's a big compliment when people watch your content and say it's a big-screen experience", however, he cleared that the movie was always going to be an OTT release since it deals with rough scenes which were important for its storytelling. ## The filmmaker further said that he would love to make a sequel to "Bloody Daddy" if the audience feels associated with the characters for a long time. "People have to be talking about it six months or a year after the release. Then it's a validation that the film and the character have stayed with the audience". Zee Studios Unveils Brilliant First Look Teaser of Much-Awaited 'Gadar 2: The Katha Continues'

Mumbai, June 12 - Sunny Deol returns as Tara Singh to protect his family in the first look teaser of the highly-anticipated period action drama film Gadar 2: The Katha Continues. The sequel to the all-time blockbuster is directed by Anil Sharma. ## On Monday (June 12), Zee Studios unveiled the teaser of "Gadar 2" which promises a blockbuster affair. Box Office: 'Gadar - Ek Prem Katha' Re-Release Scored A Good Opening Weekend

Mumbai, June 12 - Sunny Deol-fronted all-time blockbuster Gadar: Ek Prem Katha showed good collections upon its re-release in its opening weekend. ## The period action drama film had limited re-release in 4K and Dolby Atmos, but after the positive response, the makers increased the showcasing over the weekend which helped to post a good weekend collection of approx. 1.30 crores net collection. ## The movie scored approx. 30 lacs net on the opening day, followed by 45 lacs and 55 lacs on Saturday and Sunday, respectively. The weekend collection of 1.30 crores of Gadar is more than the lifetime collection of a few of the original Hindi films that release in the last couple of years. ## As said earlier, the positive response to Gadar's re-release is a good sign for its sequel Gadar 2: The Katha Continues which is scheduled to release on August 11 this year. This has been shot on a bigger scale and made on a bigger budget than the first film. Mumbai, June 11 - Maddock Films' Zara Hatke Zara Bachke enters the 50 crores net club in style after scoring another big day today. It scores a jump of around 20% today, the second Sunday as compared to yesterday's collection. ## As per the early estimates, ZHZB scored around 6.75 crores net collection on its second Sunday, which takes the total collection to 53 crores net in 10 days.
