Sony Pictures Announces Superhero Film Trilogy 'Shaktimaan'
Mumbai, February 10 - Sony Pictures International Productions has joined hands with Mukesh Khanna's Bheeshm International, and Brewing Thoughts Private Limited to bring the iconic Indian television superhero, "Shaktimaan" to the big screens. ## Sony Pictures India took to social media and announced the "Shaktimaan" movie. It will be made a trilogy and one of India's superstars will headline the project while one of the leading directors will direct this superhero film. ## After the super success of our many superhero films in India and all over the globe, it's time for our desi Superhero! The television series was aired on DD National from 13 September 1997 to 27 March 2005. Mukesh Khanna, who will be co-producing the cinematic trilogy, played the titular role of Shaktimaan and his alter ego Pandit Gangadhar Vidhyadhar Mayadhar Omkarnath Shastriji, in the series. ## In October 2020, Mukesh Khanna had confirmed the "Shaktimaan" film trilogy and had said that it will be bigger than "Krish". "Shaktimaan" has been one of the most-watched and popular tv shows of the 90s, and now, it is set to be made for the big screen with high VFX technology. ## Stay tuned...
