Mumbai, June 19 - Shahid Kapoor and Kriti Sanon are teaming up for the first time for a romantic-comedy film, produced by Dinesh Vijan's Maddock Films in association with Jio Studios. The yet-untitled movie has been co-written and directed by Amit Joshi & Aradhana Sah. ## Over the last few weeks, the rumors have been making rounds that the movie will opt for direct-to-digital release, but now, putting all the rumors to rest, the makers have confirmed the theatrical release of the film on December 7, 2023. It was earlier announced for the October release, but now, it will release in December worldwide. ## Produced by Dinesh Vijan, Jyoti Deshpande, and Laxman Utekar, the movie reportedly stars Shahid as a robotics guy while Kriti Sanon will be seen playing a robot. Mumbai, May 23 - Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar recently kicked off the shooting of Maddock Film's ambitious aerial action thriller Sky Force which is being directed by Sandeep Kelwani and Abhishek Kapur. ## The movie is set against the backdrop of the Indian Air Force based on true events. Akshay plays the role of an Air Force officer while it was revealed recently that Veer Pahariya, the son of renowned businessman Sanjay Pahariya has been roped in to play a key role in his acting debut. ## Now, according to Peepingmoon.com, the makers have also locked the female cast. The report revealed that Akshay's former co-stars Nimrat Kaur and Sara Ali Khan have been roped in to play the female leading roles in the movie. ## Nimrat previously starred alongside in the "Airlift" while Sara Ali Khan featured with the superstar in "Atragni Re". Mumbai, April 14 - Last year, it was reported that Ayushmann Khurrana and Samantha Ruth Prabhu would be sharing screen space for the first time in producer Dinesh Vijan's next horror-comedy film. ## The reports also stated that Ayushmann will feature in the role of a vampire while Samantha will play a princess. Now, the latest reports have revealed that the movie is titled Vampires of Vijay Nagar and it will go on floors by the end of this year or early 2024 under the direction of Amar Kaushik. ## According to Peepingmoon.com, "The shooting timelines are not yet decided as there are still many permutations and combinations to be worked out. However, the movie is unquestionably going to be made, and Maddock Films will make an official announcement soon. The film has been titled 'Vampires of Vijay Nagar' and will be helmed by Amar Kaushik. The director will get into this project after finishing Stree 2, which goes into production around June this year".## "Vampires of Vijay Nagar" will be a part of Vijan's proposed horror-comedy universe and will be the fifth standalone film in this series which kicked off with Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao's "Stree" in 2018, followed by Janhvi Kapoor's "Roohi", Varun Dhawan and Kriti Sanon's "Bhediya", and soon to release "Munjha" starring Sharvari Wagh. ## The horror-comedy universe will start interconnecting from "Stree 2" which will release on August 31, 2024. Mumbai, July 5 - It was recently reported that Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar would be doing a film based on the Indian Air Force. Dinesh Vijan will reportedly be producing this film under his production banner Maddock Films. ## The official announcement regarding the movie is yet to be made but the movie is certainly confirmed which was also hinted at by Akshay himself during a recent interview. Now, according to the latest reports, the movie, which is tentatively titled "SkyForce", will be directed by Sandeep Kewlani. ## The movie will mark Sandeep Kewlani's directorial debut and he couldn't have asked for a better film and actor to begin with. He was the writer of Ajay Devgn's aviation-based "Runway 34" and also assist Ajay in the direction department. By looking at his past experience, Kewlani seems to be the right man for Akshay's film. ## The film will see Akshay Kumar as an Indian Airforce Officer and it's set in the period set up recreating one of the aerial warfare from the time gone by. However, in a major blow to the streamer and makers, the film was reportedly illegally leaked 4 days before its original scheduled date. ## As per reports, the pirated version of Jio Studios and Maddock Films' Mimi has been made available on Telegram on July 26.
