It was revealed by New Japan Pro Wrestling on Wednesday night that Hiroshi Tanahashi will have to miss some scheduled appearances due to an ongoing rib injury sustained during Capitol Collision in Washington, D.C. on April 15th. ## The injury seems to be more severe than previously anticipated, forcing the veteran wrestler to take some time off to recuperate. As a result, he will not be able to participate in some upcoming events as originally planned. ## “After examination it has been determined that Tanahashi will be absent from forthcoming events on the Road to Dontaku Series starting today, April 20 in Nara, with a return date to be determined,” the statement on their website reads. Cards have been changed as a result of Tanahashi’s absence, which can be seen on NJPW’s schedule page. ## During a three-way match for the Strong Tag Team titles, Hiroshi Tanahashi and Kazuchika Okada teamed up to take on Aussie Open and Motor City Machine Guns, but unfortunately, Tanahashi suffered an injury.
