New Delhi, November 4 - The Supreme Court of India has raised serious concerns over the exorbitant prices charged by multiplexes for food and beverages. Over the last many years, theatres have struggled to bring the audiences, and the unaffordable prices are one of the major reasons for it. On Monday, a bench of the apex court, comprising Justice Vikram Nath and Justice Sandeep Mehta, in an oral observation, said that exorbitant rates for tickets and food items at multiplexes could drive moviegoers away. They observed that the rates should be appropriately fixed so that people will come. According to Live Law, the apex court's observations came while hearing petitions by Multiplex Association of India against a recent Karnataka HC order to cap multiplex ticket prices at 200. The SC bench stayed the HC order, while issuing a notice on the petitions. Recently, the Karnataka Government passed an order that movie ticket prices in multiplexes shouldn't be more than Rs. 200. To challenge the order, the makers of Kantara Chapter 1 moved the high court, which stayed the order till further notice. The Karnataka HC had directed the multiplexes to keep auditable records of every ticket sold, both online and offline, so that refunds can be made if the multiplexes lose the case. Director SS Rajamouli's Baahubali: The Epic, a one-cut version of his epic duology, was recently released, and with this, the maverick filmmaker announced the animated film series on Baahubali. Titled Baahubali: The Eternal War, the teaser/trailer of the film was attached to Baahubali: The Epic in cinemas, and now, it has been dropped online. Directed by award-winning filmmaker Ishan Shukla, Eternal War will be a two-part film, with the first scheduled for a 2027 release in cinemas worldwide. The Eternal War will follow the betrayed and murdered prince Amarendra Baahubali (voiced by Prabhas) into the afterlife. Mumbai, November 4: Bollywood megastar Salman Khan has been shooting for war drama, Battle of Galwan, inspired by true events. Directed by Apoorva Lakhia, the movie stars Khan in a never-before-seen avatar alongside Chitrangda Singh, who plays the female lead. According to the reports, the shoot of BOG, which kicked off in September, will be wrapped by December 2025. The team has already filmed a major chunk of the film, including key challenging and action sequences. Earlier, it was reported that the film was titled Gen63, before it was reported that the movie was titled Varanasi. According to Bollywood Hungama, the title of the mega movie is indeed Varanasi. It is said to be an apt title as per the story of the film. Hence, the makers were very keen on naming their film Varanasi. The title rights were reportedly with someone else, but SS Rajamouli's team reached out and secured the rights. The movie, which is currently under production, marks the duo's second film together after 2023's mega blockbuster Pathaan. Produced by Red Chillies Entertainment and Marflix, the King title teaser has ignited massive curiosity among cinephiles after the massive response across social media platforms. In the first 24 hours, the teaser generated over 90 million views across all platforms. On YouTube, the title teaser scored around 28 million views and over 40 million views on Instagram. This is among the highest viewership for a title announcement promo, which shows the excitement around the film.
