Bengaluru, May 25 - The growing list of the Pan-Indian star has a new name in it and that is Rocking Star Yash. Already a huge name in the Kannada film industry, Yash has proved himself as a 'watch me out' to the Indian audiences after bringing back the golden era of Indian cinema with the KGF franchise. ## It is quite obvious for Yash to now do larger-than-life movies with global reach. KGF producer Vijay Kiragandur of Hombale Films also thinks the same as he believes that the 36-year-old actor should now do only Pan-Indian movies. ## During a recent interview with Bollywood Hungama, Vijay Kiragandur was talking about the success of KGF Chapter 2 and its lead hero Yash, who has gained immense popularity with the role of Rocky he played in the movie. Lauding the actor, the producer said, "Now, he's the big Indian star, not just a Kannada star or Southern star. With KGF: Chapter 2, he has become an Indian star".## "The way he carried out the mannerisms in the movie, he gained a lot of fan base across the world. He's going to do only pan-Indian movies from now on. He has reached that level. So he can't do any smaller movies in the future (smiles). He has set huge targets and he has to beat his own targets now", he added. ## What the producer has said about Yash is now a reality. While KGF movies have had excellent box office success in Hindi, Yash's previous Kannada films are also hit on satellite among the Hindi audiences, so the fan base is already there for him. Mumbai, May 22 - The trailer of the upcoming comedy-drama film, "Jug Jugg Jeeyo" was launched on May 22 amid much fanfare in Mumbai. Directed by Raj Mehta ("Good Newwz"), the movie stars Anil Kapoor, Neetu Kapoor, Varun Dhawan, and Kiara Advani in the leading roles. ## During the trailer launch event, producer Karan Johar was asked to comment on the ongoing Bollywood vs South Indian film industry debate. Karan Johar, who has produced some South Indian films, admitted that the South filmmakers have indeed raised the standard of Indian cinema and that he is very proud of it. ## "When we talk about films like Pushpa (The Rise), RRR, and KGF (Chapter 2) doing good business, we can truly say that this is Indian Cinema. I can say I am proud of Indian cinema as a whole. They have raised the status of Indian cinema. Rajamouli sir, Sukumar, and KGF makers have all told us how far we can go and how much we can do, they have truly raised our standards", he said. ## "Gangubai Kathiawadi has done such good business and now Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 has kicked off a massive opening. Now we just wish that Jug Jugg Jeeyo gets added to that list. We hope that films of every language do well whether it is Tamil, Telugu, or Marathi. The Pan-India biggie, which was released on April 14 in theaters worldwide, has been on a dream box office run and grossed over 1170 crores worldwide so far, the third biggest ever for an Indian movie. ## Directed by Prashanth Neel, "KGF Chapter 2" has completed 5 weekends at the box office and is nearing its end, though the Hindi version is still going strong. The Yash-starrer is nearing Rs. 1200 crores worldwide gross which will make it only the third Indian film ever to reach there. ## Meanwhile, the Prashanth Neel-directed movie has become the highest-grossing movie of 2022 in Tamil Nadu state. Bengaluru, May 14 - Executive producer at Hombale Films, Karthik Gowda has clarified that the studio will not be starting working on KGF Chapter 3 anytime soon. The statement from Gowda comes a few hours after the reports of Hombale Films head, Vijay Kiragandur confirming the development of the third installment of the film. ## Earlier in the day, it was reported that Vijay Kiragandur had confirmed that the shooting of KGF 3 will kick-start from October this year after completing the Salaar shoot. Bengaluru, May 14 - KGF franchise producer, Vijay Kiragandur has confirmed the next instalment of this blockbuster series. KGF has undoubtedly one of the most loved film franchises in India and now, the makers are planning to make it as big as Marvel movies. ## Fronted by superstar Yash, KGF Chapter 2, was released in theaters worldwide on April 14 last month and shattered box office records by grossing over 1150 crores.
