Salman Khan Confirms A Film With Karan Johar's Dharma Productions

Mumbai, April 29 - Amid the rumors around superstar Salman Khan's next film after Tiger 3, the actor has himself confirmed that producer Karan Johar of Dharma Productions has offered him a film that could be his next. ## During the Aap Ki Adalat episode with anchor Rajat Sharma, Salman was asked if he is doing a film with Karan Johar, to which, the superstar said that Karan recently called him for a film script which he liked and is going to do that.## It has also been reported that "Shershaah" director Vishnuvardhan is attached to direct this mass entertainer. Salman, however, didn't confirm whether Johar's movie will be his immediate next after "Tiger 3" or will be made later on but reports have stated that it will be released on Eid next year, and the shoot for the same will commence soon. ## Salman, meanwhile, also has a film with Sooraj Barjatya titled "Prem Ki Shaadi". It will commence filming later this year and be released on Diwali 2024. Mumbai, April 29 - Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan has shown growth on the second Saturday as the early estimate collections suggest around 3-3.50 crores net collections. This is a low second Saturday for such a big film like KKBKKJ but post-pandemic when most films run out of fuel in the first three days only, here it can be called a decent number.## The second Saturday collections will take the total box office collections of the film to around 96 crores net box office mark depending on the final second Saturday business. The film is looking to cross the 100cr mark by this Sunday and for that, the film needs to show a big growth tomorrow to get a 4.50cr net box office mark. This number should have been crossed way earlier but the film has not performed as per the expectations.## KKBKKJ is heading for around 115cr to 120cr finish at the box office in terms of lifetime numbers. This will lead to the average status for this Salman Khan entertainer. Mumbai, April 29 - The makers of magnum opus Adipurush have unveiled a new motion poster featuring Kriti Sanon as Sita. ## The motion poster contains a couple of different posters which perfectly sum up the situation Sita went through during exile and when Raavan forcefully abducted her and kept her in Lanka, away from Ram. ## In the first poster, Kriti Sanon as Sita standing at a rock with Prabhas' Ram poster in the background. The divinity of the poster is clearly visible and the makers have done well in detailing things. The color grading is also perfect. ## ## The second poster shows Kriti Sanon sitting with teary eyes in Lanka while Ram and Laxman (Sunny Singh) are searching for her. Mumbai, April 28 - Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan continues to struggle at the box office after an underwhelming first week. On the second Friday, the movie scored an estimated 2-2.50 crores net which is a low number. The second Friday business also confirmed that the film is not going to cross the 100cr mark by the second Saturday, but hopefully, it will be there by Sunday and for that, the film needs to show healthy growth in the next two days. ## The second Friday business of the Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan will take the entire box office collection of the film to around 92cr net box office mark. The film had a low opening day but covered the ground on the second and third days. She has been brought on board to play the role of Sambhaji Maharaj's wife, Yesubai Bhonsale. ## The movie is primarily about Sambhaji Maharaj, the eldest son of the Maratha empire's founder and the great warrior king, Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. However, it also features an emotional love story between a husband and wife. The early estimate collections suggest around 5 crores net on Wednesday. ## The first Wednesday collections will take the total collections of the film to around 88cr net mark and now the 100 crores net in the first week is out of the equation. The film will hit the 100 crore mark on the second Friday or Saturday. It is the hold on the second Friday that will determine the fate of the film at the box office.## The collections and the hold in mass centers are fabulous but at the same time, the multiplexes are recording dull collections. Box Office: Salman Khan's 'Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan' Gets The First Taste of Negative Reviews

Mumbai, April 26 - After enjoying festive first few days, Salman Khan's family action drama Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan has got the first taste of negative critics reviews and audiences' word of mouth in its box office collection after it dropped by 40% on the first Tuesday, one of the biggest first Tuesday drops for an A-list star post the covid-19 pandemic. ## Directed by Farhad Samji, "Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan" was probably the least hyped Salman Khan film in many years, plus, the pre-Eid release ensured it takes an underwhelming opening of around 13.50 crores net. Not many films scored much after the low start, especially with the negative reviews but it has proved that such things don't apply to Salman and his stardom. ## After an underwhelming start, KKBKKJ jumped by nearly 90% on its second day, Eid for around 25.75 crores net, followed by another jump on Sunday for around 26.60 crores. It managed to score a decent to good opening weekend of around 67 crores, purely because of the huge pull of Salman. ## There was fear that the movie would tank on Monday, however, being a partial holiday in some places, KKBKKJ did well by holding strong for around 10.20 crores net, but the negative reviews were going to hunt it at some point and this happened on the next day, i.e. Tuesday on which it scored just around 6.10 crores, a harsh 39.82% drop from Monday. ## The total net collection of the film after 5 days is 82.15 crores, and one would feel that such box office numbers with poor reviews in the post-pandemic times could become possible only because of Salman Khan's stardom. In current times, when superstardom is becoming irrelevant, KKBKKJ was a litmus test for Salman to show his star power, and he managed to prove it to some extent. ## However, despite all odds, KKBKKJ was destined to cross 100 crores net, a landmark box office figure most of the films have failed to achieve in the post-covid-era. The chapter focuses on the events that took place between Indian and Chinese troops in the Galwan region in 2020. ## The book, written by journalists Shiv Aroor and Rahul Singh, narrates the brave story of the Indian Army during the deadly clash with Chinese troops on 15-16 June 2020. During the clash, the Indian Army fought bravely and caused China heavy casualties, but, unfortunately, 20 Indian soldiers also lost their lives.## The story-screenplay will be adapted for the film by Suresh Nair in association with Chintan Gandhi who will also pen the dialogues. Mumbai, April 24 - Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan who had a decent first weekend at the box office after a sluggish start has passed the Monday test with flying colors. The collections coming across single screens are excellent and in many places, they are better than the first day which was hit by pre-eid. The trend of the film has been good till now. ## The early estimate collections for Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan on the first Monday suggest around 10-11 crores net. The final number may vary by a little bit on either side. The drop from Friday is around 20-30% which is an excellent hold. The footfalls will be similar to the 1st day as the rates have come down to the normal level from the weekend.## The first Monday collections will take the total collections of the movie to around 75 crores net mark depending on the actual first Monday collections which will be known by tomorrow morning. The smaller centers are driving the film thanks to the extraordinary pull of Salman Khan in mass belts but at the same time, the major multiplexes are not doing that well. The hold on Monday has confirmed that the film will enjoy a good run at the box office, especially in the mass belts of Hindi circuits. ## These numbers are solid for the type of budget the film has but with Salman Khan on board, these numbers look average at best. Mumbai, April 23 - Superstar Salman Khan shows his star power once again at the box office as his latest family action drama film Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan has crossed the 100 crores gross mark worldwide in the opening weekend itself. ## Directed by Farhad Samji, KKBKKJ took an underwhelming opening of approx. 13 crores net after the not-so-great reviews from critics and mixed responses from audiences. Just when it looked like that the movie will tank due to a poor opening, the stardom of Salman came to the rescue as the movie witnessed excellent growth on its second day, on Eid. ## KKBKKJ scored approx. 25 crores net on its second day (+92.31%) and is on track to score another 26-27 crores net on Sunday, pushing the total net collection to approx. 65 crores. Mumbai, April 23 - Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan which took an underwhelming opening at the box office had shown huge growth yesterday at the box office by going over 90% compared to the first day, and now the film has seen further growth today by around 10% which is good as Saturday growth was massive and going over that by another 15% is a huge win for the film. Single screens continue to drive the film while standalone multiplexes are also excellent. ## Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan is heading towards a big day at the box office as the early estimate collections suggest around 26-27 crores net. This is the highest single day of the film till now as it beats yesterday's number comfortably. There was an outside chance of touching the 30cr mark or even crossing but night shows are likely to see a drop due to the next day being a working day. ## The three-day weekend of Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan will be around 65 crores net mark. The final number may vary by a crore or two. The first-weekend business can be called good, especially after the sort of start the film took on the opening day which suggested a 45-50 crore weekend at best. The film is now in a much better position and if it holds well on Monday then the film will enjoy a good run at the box office. ## The first-weekend business will be seen as the downer as the minimum expectations from Salman Khan starrers are 100cr plus in the first weekend irrespective of the content. Akshay Kumar's 'Hera Pheri 3' Gets Into Legal Trouble

Mumbai, April 23 - Akshay Kumar's highly-anticipated Hera Pheri 3 is not finding it easy to get going as the film continues to be in legal trouble. In fact, the threequel is in trouble ever since its development was officially revealed by the media after years of speculations. ## Earlier this year, it was revealed that the makers have shot a promo featuring Akshay Kumar, Suniel Shetty, and Paresh Rawal as they were planning to make the official announcement soon. However, there was massive criticism when it came to light that Farhad Samji might be directing the film as fans started trending 'Remove Farhad Samji From Hera Pheri' on Twitter. ## Due to the heavy backlash, the official announcement, which was expected to be made in early April, got postponed. That is not the only problem makers have been facing as some days later, T-Series issued a public notice claiming that the production house is the "sole and exclusive right holder of all copyright of all Music and Audio Visual Song Rights" of the franchise in all mediums. ## And now, another legal notice has been served to the makers, this time by Eros International. According to Film Information Magazine (via Bollywood Hungama), Eros has claimed that it holds Intellectual Property Rights as well as the rights to the title, digital rights, and music rights on a 'sole and exclusive basis'. And that's not all. Eros also claimed that it has the exclusive rights to Welcome Back (2015).## The notice further stated that Firoz Nadiadwala's Base Industries Group owes Rs. 60,07,75,236, inclusive of interest, to Eros International as on April 17, 2023. It also claimed that Nadiadwala had made it clear that it would not create third-party rights or try to release Hera Pheri 3 in India or any part of the world without the consent of Eros International.## This legal fiasco could also hamper the upcoming sequels to "Welcome" and "Awara Pagal Deewana" as Eros International has claimed it holds similar rights for these two franchises as well. ## Stay tuned...
