Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan First Saturday Early Estimates

Mumbai, April 22 - Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan is set for huge growth at the box office after an underwhelming opening-day collection which was still the third biggest of this year after Pathaan and Tu Jhoothi Main Makkar. Salman Khan starrers have easily gone over the 20cr or even 25cr mark in pre eid in similar kinds of films around 7 or 8 years ago and that is the main reason why the opening day number looks way below the mark. ## The film is heading for massive growth of around 80% today, which also happens to be Eid. This sort of growth is huge and has happened for only a few films post-pandemic. The single screens have recorded bumper collections while the multiplexes have also seen excellent numbers. The premium multiplexes are not at the level they should be but still, they are good enough. ## As per the early estimates, KKBKKJ scored around 24-25 cr net on its first Saturday. These are early estimates and the final collections could vary. If the single screens continue to outperform then the business could be on the higher side as well. The stronghold circuits of Salman Khan Rajasthan, Bihar, and Gujarat recorded fantastic collections throughout the day. The growth in a few of the circuits is over 200% or even 300% as those circuits were affected by pre eid on the first day.## The first Saturday collections will take the total collections of Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan to around the 38 crores net mark. Now the film is in a much better position compared to yesterday. Tomorrow is Sunday so the film should carry momentum and even 10% growth will be a big plus. The advance for tomorrow is better than today (Saturday) but the late-night shows of tomorrow will be affected due to the next day being a working Monday. Box Office: Salman Khan's 'Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan' Sees Massive Growth On Eid

Mumbai, April 22 - After the underwhelming opening, Salman Khan's Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan is witnessing extraordinary growth today, on the occasion of Eid. Despite getting mixed word of mouth, the fans are flocking to cinemas in large numbers. ## The movie is overall showing nearly 70% growth from the opening day box office collection of approx. 13 crores net. Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan Opening Day Early Estimates

Mumbai, April 21 - Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan the first Superstar film since Pathaan in January has been released, starring Salman Khan. The campaign for the film started with a teaser in January followed by songs and finally the trailer. The film has given a wide release of around 4500 screens in India and 1200 screens in the overseas markets despite that it is not the biggest release of Salman Khan as films like Tiger Zinda Hai and Bharat had seen bigger releases but the sort of budget and appeal Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan has the release is huge.## Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan took an average start in the morning shows with single screens and multiplexes outside the big three national chains showing good crowds. The film is a pre-eid release which is worse than a nonholiday but many Salman Khan starrers opened in pre-eid to bumper houses as well. The likes of Dabangg (2010) and Ek Tha Tiger(2012) were record openers during pre-eid. After an average start, the film did see some growth in the multiplexes.## As per the early estimates, KKBKKJ scored around 12-13 crores net which is a low number for a Salman Khan film as his films were recording these opening day numbers around 12-13 years ago on nonholiday. That was the peak of Superstar Salman Khan and currently, he is not at his peak and well past his prime but still the opening is disappointing. There is a struggle to open a film on a good note post-pandemic with a nonevent film and Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan falls in this category.## The business of film is driven by single screens and tier-2 multiplexes where the pull of the star gets stronger rather than national chains where the audience go for the products and not for the stars most of the time. Some circuits are just decent which always open the bumper for Salman Khan and that is again a big disappointing thing. Overall it's an average Friday at the box office where the numbers are far from being good and that too for the reigning Superstar. ## Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan needs to show huge growth tomorrow helped by the Eid holidays. If the numbers on Saturday and Sunday do not fire then the film will find it very hard to run at the box office. The advance booking for tomorrow is similar to the first day but tomorrow is a holiday so the film will start with better occupancies. The talks of the film are mixed just like every commercial film. Superstar Salman Khan Advises Younger Actors To Do Two-Hero Films

Mumbai, April 21 - Bollywood superstar Salman Khan's long-awaited family action drama film Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan has been released in theaters today and is expected to do well at the box office. ## Salman Khan stars in the film alongside Telugu actors Venkatesh, and Jagapathi Babu, among others. There was a time when two-hero films used to be the norm, especially in Bollywood, but the trend died down in the last 15-20 years. ## Post the covid-19 pandemic, the chatter about making two-hero films has been peaking pace as most people feel that this is the need of the hour for the betterment of the industry. Recently, Salman Khan played a vital cameo in Shah Rukh Khan-fronted "Pathaan" which also stars John Abraham. ## The cameo of Salman was a major highlight and played a big role in "Pathaan's" box office success. Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan Opening Day Box Office Expectations

Mumbai, April 20 - Superstar Salman Khan-fronted Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan is having a decent advance booking trend though the pace is slowed down after starting on a positive note. ## Directed by Farhad Samji, KKBKKJ has so far sold around 100K tickets worth approx. 2.50 crores gross for the opening day. The three national chains (PVR, INOX, and Cinepolis) have clocked around 40K tickets so far and it looks to finish around 60K-65K tickets. ## The advances are having better response than all but Shah Rukh Khan-fronted "Pathaan" for the 2023 films. At the end of the day, the total pre-sales for the first day are expected to finish over 4 crores gross with approx. 150K-175K tickets, which will make it the second biggest this year. ## At the start of the advance booking a couple of days ago, KKBKKJ was looking to score in the range of 20 crores net on the first day, however, the slow pace and the pre-Eid release have brought down the projection a little bit.## As many are expecting, the opening of the film is looking in the 15 crores net range but considering the better response in mass pockets, it should be eying to open around 17 crores which will be a good number and it could go higher if the talks are positive. Mumbai, April 19 - IMDb has revealed the list of the top 10 most anticipated Indian films releasing this summer and Bollywood rules this list singlehandedly. ## Some of the films in the list have been ruling the roost ever since they were announced and at the top of the list is superstar Shah Rukh Khan's Jawan. After delivering the mega-blockbuster in the form of Pathaan, King Khan is preparing for another potential blockbuster with director Atlee's film. ## Jawan is a true blue Pan India flick with the star cast on board across different industries. The maiden collaboration between SRK and Atlee is the mass entertainer everyone looking forward to watching on the big screen where it is scheduled to be released on June 2 in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu languages.## The second most anticipated film of Summer 2023 is Ranbir Kapoor's gangster crime drama Animal with director Sandeep Reddy Vanga. Arguably the most hyped movie of Ranbir ever, "Animal" might turn out the biggest blockbuster for the actor with the kind of craze it is having among the fans and general audiences. It is due to be released on August 11 in multiple languages.## The third in the list is director Om Raut's magnum opus Adipurush featuring Prabhas as Lord Ram. Despite the initial backlash, the movie remains hotly anticipated among the fans and is set to blast at the box office on June 16. The movie is based on Ramayana which is itself enough to woo fans to witness the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity on the big screen. ## Among the original flicks this year, the sequel to 2001's all-time blockbuster Gadar: Ek Prem Katha is set to thrill the audiences all over again. Titled Gadar: The Katha Continues, this Sunny Deol-fronted period action drama is slated to release on August 11, clashing with "Animal" at the box office.## Surprisingly, the Hindi remake of Prabhas' Chatrapathi, starring Telugu actor Bellamkonda Sai Sreenivas is the 5th most anticipated Indian movie of Summer 2023, ahead of Ajay Devgn's Maidaan and other big budget films. The teaser of Chatrapathi was recently launched and it got an overwhelming response from the Hindi audiences. It is slated for May 12 release ## Ajay Devgn-fronted sports biopic Maidaan is the 6th most anticipated film. It is based on Indian football's golden era and is scheduled to release on June 23 in multiple languages. Salman Khan's 'Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan' Pre-Sales Opens On Promising Note

Mumbai, April 18 - Superstar Salman Khan's long-awaited family action drama film Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan is getting ready to release on April 21. Directed by Farhad Samji, KKBKKJ carries a lot of expectations and a litmus test for Salman's stardom. ## Meanwhile, the full-fledged advance booking for the movie was opened yesterday, and the initial response is positive. The pre-sales haven't been great for most of the Bollywood movies post the covid-19 pandemic, but here, KKBKKJ is portraying a different story. ## It has been only 24 hours since the advances were opened, and the pre-booking is already nearing 1 crore gross with around 35K tickets sold for the opening day. In the three national chains (PVR, INOX, and Cinepolis), it has sold around 15K tickets so far. ## The good news for the movie is that it is showing a better advance booking trend in non-multiplex chains which has always been a strong zone for Salman. With two days left, during which the advances peak, the movie is well on track to fetch decent to good pre-sales and among the best this year. ## As far as the opening day box office is concerned, it could be around 18 crores which will be a good result considering the pre-Eid release. It will be directed by debutante Shazia Iqbal, who has been working as a Production Designer for thirteen years in the Indian Film & Advertising Industry. ## Directed by Shashank Khaitan, "Dhadak", which was a remake of the Marathi movie "Sairat", was released in 2018 and marked the debut of Ishaan Khattar and Janhvi Kapoor. Jio Studios To Produce Ayan Mukerji's 'Brahmastra' Films Along With Its Spin-Offs

Mumbai, April 15 - A few days ago, blockbuster director Ayan Mukerji announced on social media that the second and third parts of his Astra Verse Brahmastra trilogy would be released in 2026 and 2027 respectively, and that he is currently working on the script. ## Soon after the filmmaker announced development on the films, it was reported that Karan Johar's Dharma Productions has backed out from bankrolling the films over some issues. And now, according to Pinkvilla, Dinesy has also taken a back seat, instead, talks are in the final stage with Jio Studios to come on board as the leading producer. ## "Disney is in the mode of restructuring their content strategy in India. After several meetings over the last few months, Disney has decided to take a back seat from the Brahmastra franchise", reports Pinkvilla, adding that Disney is ready to sell the complete IP of the Brahmastra franchise to Ayan, who is already a part owner. ## Brahmastra has been a franchise dear to Ayan who has spent years bringing it to the big screen. He doesn't want let to go and has decided to make it with Jio Studios which is already high with the announcement of over 100 movies and shows for the next few years.## It is said that not just for the next two Brahmastra films, Ayan along with his hero Ranbir Kapoor, is also in advance talks with Jio Studios for the spin-offs from the franchise for streaming and the big screen. "Ayan has plans to make Brahmastra Part 2: Dev and Brahmastra Part 3: Shiva v/s Dev for Jio Studios, which are the tentpole attraction of the deal". ## "Apart from the two pioneers, he will be making spin-offs on other characters of the Brahmastra in the format of web series, and independent feature films. The spin-offs for characters include Nandi Astra, Pawan Astra, and Gaj Astra for digital, whereas Jal Astra is expected to be made for the big screen. ## Going forward, if the deal comes to fruition, the Brahmastra franchise will be produced by Jio Studios with Starlight Pictures and Mukerji's Astra Verse. Farhad Samji Breaks Silence On 'Remove Farhad Samji From Hera Pheri 3' Trend

Mumbai, April 14 - Director Farhad Samji, who is gearing up for the release of the much-awaited Salman Khan starrer Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan, has been at the center of social media negativity regarding his future films. ## In February this year, it came to light that Akshay Kumar, Suniel Shetty, and Paresh Rawal would be reuniting for the 3rd installment of the much loved Hera Pheri and they even shot an announcement video for the same. ## It was also reported that Farhad Samji would be directing the film, and soon after it was revealed, the fans of Akshay Kumar started a negative trend "Remove Farhad Samji from Hera Pheri 3" as they didn't want him to direct such a huge film. ## A section of the film industry supported the trend and pointed out how it's justified to blame Samji entirely if a certain film or series of him didn't meet the expectations. Housefull 4 (2019) is the biggest hit of Akshay Kumar. Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 is such a huge success if we take into account the ROI.
