Extended Version of Mega Blockbuster 'Pushpa 2 - The Rule' To Play In Theatres; Makers Announce Details

Hyderabad, January 7 - The mega Pan India blockbuster Pushpa 2 - The Rule starring superstar Allu Arjun is all set to play in theatres with the extended version from director Sukumar's birthday. It is produced by Mythri Movie Makers and Sukumar Writings. ## On Tuesday (January 7), makers announced the Pushpa 2 Reloaded version will play in theatres on January 17. The reloaded version will have 20 minutes of added footage to the original 200-minute-long theatrical runtime. After the latest version, it will become the longest Indian film with 3 hours and 40 minutes of runtime. ## Pushpa 2 - The Rule is the highest-grossing film ever at the Indian box office with over 1440 crores gross after beating superstar Prabhas-fronted Baahubali 2 - The Conclusion which grossed 1417 crores back in 2017 in all versions. Hyderabad, January 2 - Pushpa 2 has now officially become the highest-grossing film ever at the Indian box office, beating SS Rajamouli's epic blockbuster Baahubali 2 - The Conclusion. The Allu Arjun-starrer had already crossed BB2 in terms of net collection in 16 days. ## Starring Prabhas, Baahubali 2 grossed approximately 1417 crores (1030 crores net) in India back in 2017. SSMB 29 To Be A Two-Part Epic Adventure, To Be Made On 1000 Crore Budget

Hyderabad, January 1 - The wait for maverick director SS Rajamouli's next film with superstar Mahesh Babu is finally coming to an end with the movie officially getting launched on January 2 in a private ceremony in Hyderabad in the presence of a few people. ## It was recently revealed that India's global icon Priyanka Chopra plays the female lead role opposite Mahesh Babu while Malayalam star Prithviraj Sukumaran is the lead antagonist. Now, according to the latest report by Pinkvilla, the yet-untitled epic jungle adventure will be made into two parts. ## The report states that SSMB29 will be made on a budget of 1000 crore, making it the most expensive Indian film. Los Angeles, December 31 - Superstar Allu Arjun's Pushpa 2 - The Rule has ended the year 2024 by topping $15 million at the North American box office, becoming the 7th Indian and 4th South Indian title of all-time to achieve the feat. ## Directed by Sukumar, Pushpa 2 joins the elite league of Baahubali 2, Kalki 2898 AD, Pathaan, RRR, Jawan, and Animal in the prestigious box office club. Hyderabad, December 30 - Telugu superstar and Andhra Pradesh deputy Cheif Minister, Pawan Kalyan has opened up on the recent Sandhya Theatre stampede incident in which superstar Allu Arjun has been made accused by the Telangana government.## The incident occurred during the premiere of Allu Arjun's Pushpa 2 - The Rule in Hyderabad on December 4. The actor was watching the movie with fans but due to the huge crowd outside the theatre, a stampede-like situation happened in which a woman died while her son got injured. ## Allu Arjun was arrested recent before getting released on interim bail. Box Office: 'Pushpa 2' Beats 'Baahubali 2' In Telugu States To Become Second Biggest Grosser

Hyderabad, December 27 - Superstar Allu Arjun's Pushpa 2 - The Rule has become the second highest-grossing film in Telugu states (Andhra Pradesh and Telangana) after beating superstar Prabhas-fronted Baahubali 2 - The Conclusion in 23 days.## The Sukumar's directorial action drama has grossed approximately 307+ crores in AP-TG in 23 days (including the 4th Friday) as the second biggest grosser, seating between two SS Rajamouli's directorial ventures - Baahubali 2 and RRR. ## Pushpa 2 took one of the biggest openings in Telugu states approximately 89 crores (including previews), before showing a little drop over the first weekend. Box Office: 'Pushpa 2' Crosses 1500 Crore Gross Collection Worldwide

Hyderabad, December 23 - Pushpa 2 has a fantastic third weekend with close to 100 crores gross and also topped 1500 crores gross collection at the worldwide box office, becoming only the third Indian movie of all time to achieve the feat. ## At the end of the third weekend, the Allu Arjun-fronted action drama has scored approximately 1506 crores gross, including around 1267 crores gross collection at the Indian box office. It is currently the second biggest grosser in India, behind Baahubali 2 (1416 crores), however, in terms of the net collection, Pushpa 2 is the number 1 film. ## The contribution from the dubbed Hindi version has been more than 50% of the total collection of Pushpa 2. In Hindi, the film has grossed around 925 crores worldwide, including over 800 crores at the Indian box office. It is worth noting that it was Neel's first movie since the mega-blockbuster KGF: Chapter 2 and his combination with Prabhas was expected to set the box office on fire. ## While Salaar emerged as a box office success, Neel expressed his disappointment and said that he was not completely happy with the performance as he expected more since a lot of hard work was put into it. Hyderabad, December 21 - Mythri Movie Makers' action drama Pushpa 2 - The Rule has topped 5 crore footfalls at the Indian box office in 17 days, becoming the second movie after Yash-fronted KGF: Chapter 2 to achieve the feat post the Covid-19 pandemic. ## The movie has been selling over 1 million tickets almost every day since its release on December 5. Telangana CM Puts Serious Allegations On Superstar Allu Arjun In Sandhya Theater Stampede Case

Hyderabad, December 21 - Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy fired heavy shots on superstar Allu Arjun in the recent Sandhya Theater Stampede case in which a woman died while her son got severely injured. The actor has been facing legal trial in the case and even was arrested a few days ago before getting interim bail by the High Court. ## The incident occurred on December 4 when Allu Arjun went to watch the premiere of his blockbuster film Pushpa 2 - The Rule in Sandhya Theater in Hyderabad. Due to the heavy rush of his fans, the stampede happened which claimed a precious life. The incident was discussed in the Assembly on Saturday (December 21). ## During his speech, CM Reventh Reddy lambasted the actor and the film fraternity for their inhuman attitude towards the victims. Putting serious allegations on Allu Arjun, the CM said that the actor was denied permission to visit the theatre, and despite that, he watched the film amid a massive crowd. ## Mr Reddy also alleged that even after the incident of the stampede happened, the actor didn't leave the theatre until the DCP came and forcibly put him in the car and even warned him of immediate arrest knowing the seriousness of the case.## "Even on the way back", Reddy said that "He (Allu Arjun) was waving his hands towards the crowd from the roof of the car". The CM questioned the inhuman side of the actor as well as other film fraternity people as none of them responded to the death of the woman in Stampede. ## The CM further said what kind of message the film fraternity was giving when they went to meet Allu Arjun one by one after he came out of jail. Hyderabad, December 20 - Director Sukumar's action drama Pushpa 2 - The Rule has emerged as the biggest Indian blockbuster since SS Rajamouli's epic Baahubali 2 in 2017 and it continues to dominate the box office in its third week with the sensational collection all over. ## Meanwhile, over the last few days, rumours have been floating on social media about the OTT release date of the film. Hyderabad, December 20 - Dulquer Salmaan's period crime drama film Lucky Bashkar has extended its big box office success into the digital platform as the movie has turned out to be a jackpot for Netflix which is the official post-theatrical streaming partner of the film in all languages. ## The Venky Atluri's directorial was made available on Netflix on November 28, which is 4 weeks after the theatrical release. In its opening weekend, the movie generated 5.1 million views on Netflix which is one of the highest for an Indian title.## The movie witnessed an upward trend in the second week and scored 6.6 million views, followed by another 3.3 million views in the third week (December 9 - 15). In the first 17 days, Lucky Bashkar scored 14.90 million views, making it the 5th most-watched Indian title of 2024 on Netflix. ## Lucky Bashkar is likely to beat Do Patti (17 million views), Laapataa Ladies (17.1 million views) and Crew (17.9 million views) to become the second most-watched title of the year. Mumbai, December 18 - Allu Arjun's action drama Pushpa 2 - The Rule has become the highest-grossing Hindi net grosser and the first to clear 600 crores net collection in Hindi within two weeks since its release on December 5, becoming the biggest blockbuster. ## Directed by Sukumar, Pushpa 2 has surpassed the lifetime collection of Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao's horror comedy Stree 2 (598 crores net approx.) on its 14th day to become the number 1 movie of all time in Hindi. Shah Rukh Khan's Jawan is at the third palace with 582 crores net collection. ## Pushpa 2 has been on a record-breaking run since the opening day and so far, it has put up a sensational show at the box office. After Box Office, Prabhas-Fronted 'Salaar: Ceasefire' Hindi Version Also Emerges Big Success On Digital Platform

Hyderabad, December 17 - Superstar Prabhas-fronted Salaar Part 1 - Ceasefire was one of the biggest Indian grossers of 2023 and now, it has turned out to be a huge success on the OTT platform Disney Plus Hotstar as well in the dubbed Hindi version. ## The Hindi version of Salaar, directed by Prashanth Neel, was acquired by Hotstar while the other versions streamed on Netflix. Since its digital release on February 16 this year, the Hindi version of the film has continuously been trending in the top 10 in India. ## It has been continuous more than 300 days for the movie in the top 10 on Hotstar, making it the first film ever to do so. While the viewership numbers are not provided, Salaar is easily the most-watched Indian title on Hotstar and this is building up the excitement for its sequel which is due to hit big screens in 2026. ## Salaar is produced by Hombale Films which will bankroll three more films, including Salaar 2, of Prabhas in the next few years.
