Mumbai, December 25 - Varun Dhawan's mass action entertainer Baby John is the last big Bollywood release of 2024 and it has taken a decent opening at the box office with double-digit numbers. ## The opening of Baby John got a push due to the Christmas holiday, however, at the same time, it was affected by strong holdovers like Pushpa 2 and Mufasa as early estimates suggest a 12-12.50 crore net opening for Varun Dhawan-starrer.## The film opened on the projected lines, however, being a mass movie and a holiday release, Baby John was expected to open much higher which didn't happen. Varun Dhawan's 'Baby John' Opening Day Box Office Expectations

Mumbai, December 24 - After stealing hearts with romantic and comedy entertainers, Bollywood star Varun Dhawan is gearing up for the release of his first full-fledged actioner in the form of Baby John which is slated to hit the screens on December 25 on the occasion of Christmas. ## The film, directed by Tamil director Kalees, was easily one of the most anticipated Bollywood movies sometime back but the buzz has dipped for the last few weeks in the euphoria of Pushpa 2 - The Rule which is going great gun at the box office in Hindi. ## The advance booking of Baby John hasn't been on the expected lines but it has still managed to score a decent response with over 100K tickets sold for the opening day. As of 8 PM on December 24, the pre-sales gross for the opening is approximately 3.75 crores (including block seats) and the final advance sales heads for 4.50-5 crores gross. ## The pre-sales trend indicates the film's opening in the range of 10 crores gross, however, the Christmas holiday is expected to boost spot booking which can push the opening into the range of 13-15 crores. Pushpa 2 is the real challenge as it is dominating the mass pockets which is something Baby John also eyeing. There is also Hollywood Mufasa: The Lion King which has good pre-sales for December 25 in North belt. ## If there weren't the other two movies, Baby John could have easily aimed for a much higher opening as buzz for the movie was there to cash in the opportunity. At this point, an opening in the range of 13-15 crores looks more likely. 'Sikandar' Teaser To Be Out On Salman Khan's Birthday

Mumbai, December 16 - Superstar Salman Khan's much-awaited action drama Sikandar is set to unleash at the box office on Eid 2025. Directed by AR Murugadoss and produced by Sajid Nadiadwala, it is one of the biggest Bollywood films of the next year. ## According to the latest report by Pinkvilla, the makers will release the teaser of Sikandar on Salman Khan's birthday, December 27. The teaser is currently being edited and is expected to be action-packed and entertaining on a huge scale. ## The background score is done by Santosh Narayanan, who is best known for his work in Kalki 2898 AD, among many other films. The teaser will kick-start the promotion of the film leading to its release on Eid in March 2025. The entire shoot of the movie is expected to be wrapped by January. ## Meanwhile, after Sikandar, Salman Khan will start director Atlee's yet-untitled big-budget Pan India film from the summer of 2025. A Short Synopsis of Prabhas-Fronted 'Spirit' Revealed

Mumbai, December 12 - Director Sandeep Reddy Vanga and superstar Prabhas are teaming up for the first time for an action thriller film titled Spirit. It is one of the most anticipated Indian movies in the making and will show Prabhas playing the role of a cop for the first time in his career.## The shoot of Spirit is expected to kick off early next year, and ahead of the production commencement, a short synopsis of the film has seemingly been revealed. According to Letterboxd, Spirit is about "A disgraced cop, determined to regain his job, hunts down a ruthless international crime syndicate".## Interestingly, during the promotion of Animal (2023), Sandeep Reddy Vanga revealed that the protagonist in Spirit comes from a middle-class background, in contrast to both Animal and Arjun Reddy (2017), where the male leads belonged to wealthy families. Mumbai, December 12 - Former Miss Universe Harnaaz Kaur Sandhu is all set to make her Bollywood debut with Tiger Shroff-fronted Baaghi 4. Harnaaz won the Miss Universe title on this same day in 2021 and to make it more memorable, the makers have officially confirmed her on board the film. ## Harnaaz, who has starred in a couple of Punjabi films, has been paired opposite Tiger in the fourth instalment of this action thriller franchise, directed by Kannada director A Harsha.
