'Pushpa 2' Tops 5 Crore Footfalls In India

Hyderabad, December 21 - Mythri Movie Makers' action drama Pushpa 2 - The Rule has topped 5 crore footfalls at the Indian box office in 17 days, becoming the second movie after Yash-fronted KGF: Chapter 2 to achieve the feat post the Covid-19 pandemic. ## The movie has been selling over 1 million tickets almost every day since its release on December 5. On its second Saturday (17th day), it has topped 50 million admissions in India and is set to beat KGF 2 which sold approximately 5.10 crore tickets in its lifetime run in all versions. ## The Hindi version of Pushpa 2 has alone generated 3+ crores of footfalls, followed by the original Telugu version (1.50 crores) while Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada versions have sold 50+ lakh tickets so far. It has become the second Telugu movie after Baahubali 2 to sell 5+ crores of tickets in India. ## Overall, the Allu Arjun-starrer is the 15th Indian movie ever to score 5 crores or more footfalls and it is likely to finish among the top 10 movies of all time at the end of its box office run. Allu Arjun Responds To Allegations Made By Telangana Chief Minister In Sandhya Theatre Stampede Case

Hyderabad, December 21 - Superstar Allu Arjun holds a press meeting to respond to the allegations made against him by the Chief Minister of Telangana, Revanth Reddy in the Sandhya Theatre Stampede which occurred during the premiere of Pushpa 2 - The Rule on December 4. ## On December 21, Reveanth Reddy made serious allegations against the actor and tried to character-assassinate him by calling his actions inhuman. Mr Reddy had alleged that even after the incident of the stampede happened, the actor didn't leave the theatre despite knowing about the death of a woman. ## The CM also said that even on the way back, Allu Arjun was waving his hands towards the crowd from the roof of the car. Telangana CM Puts Serious Allegations On Superstar Allu Arjun In Sandhya Theater Stampede Case

Hyderabad, December 21 - Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy fired heavy shots on superstar Allu Arjun in the recent Sandhya Theater Stampede case in which a woman died while her son got severely injured. The actor has been facing legal trial in the case and even was arrested a few days ago before getting interim bail by the High Court. ## The incident occurred on December 4 when Allu Arjun went to watch the premiere of his blockbuster film Pushpa 2 - The Rule in Sandhya Theater in Hyderabad. Due to the heavy rush of his fans, the stampede happened which claimed a precious life. The incident was discussed in the Assembly on Saturday (December 21). ## During his speech, CM Reventh Reddy lambasted the actor and the film fraternity for their inhuman attitude towards the victims. Putting serious allegations on Allu Arjun, the CM said that the actor was denied permission to visit the theatre, and despite that, he watched the film amid a massive crowd. ## Mr Reddy also alleged that even after the incident of the stampede happened, the actor didn't leave the theatre until the DCP came and forcibly put him in the car and even warned him of immediate arrest knowing the seriousness of the case.## "Even on the way back", Reddy said that "He (Allu Arjun) was waving his hands towards the crowd from the roof of the car". The CM questioned the inhuman side of the actor as well as other film fraternity people as none of them responded to the death of the woman in Stampede. ## The CM further said what kind of message the film fraternity was giving when they went to meet Allu Arjun one by one after he came out of jail. Box Office: 'Pushpa 2' Joins 'Baahubali 2' To Top 1000 Crore Net Collection

Mumbai, December 21 - SS Rajamouli's epic blockbuster Baahubali 2 starring Prabhas, finally has a company in the 1000 crores net club as Allu Arjun's Pushpa 2 - The Rule joined the lonely leader after more than 7 years. ## The closest to reach Baahubali 2 previously was Yash-fronted KGF: Chapter 2 (860 crores net) and Pushpa 2 not only surpassed that but went on to join the former, taking just 16 days as the fastest film to achieve this rare box office milestone. ## Just like Baahubali 2, the contribution from the dubbed Hindi version has more than 50% in Pushpa 2's overall collection. After Box Office, Prabhas-Fronted 'Salaar: Ceasefire' Hindi Version Also Emerges Big Success On Digital Platform

Mumbai, December 14 - Director Sandeep Reddy Vanga's maiden collaboration with the Pan India star Prabhas, Spirit is gearing up to commence filming early next year, and ahead of that, the makers are in the process of locking big names from Hindi film industry. ## According to the report by Pinkvilla, director Sandeep Vanga is in talks with Mrunal Thakur for the female lead role opposite Prabhas. At the same time, the conversation is on with Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor, who are a real-life couple, to play the negative roles in Spirit. ## "Spirit is one the most ambitious and awaited films of Indian Cinema, and the makers are going all out to have the best and most talented actors of world cinema on board. While Prabhas is locked to play the role of a cop, the conversations are in progress with Mrunal Thakur, Saif Ali Khan, and Kareena Kapoor with the latter two for the negative turn", says the report. ## The report further states that Spirit is unlike any other cop action thriller film in Indian cinema where Vanga is looking to change the way cop actioners are made in India. "The writing work and prep is going on in full swing, and the ones who have heard the narration inform that Vanga is going to reintroduce Prabhas like never before in Spirit", it adds.## Meanwhile, there have been rumours about South Korean actor Don Lee featuring in the film, however, there hasn't been a concrete update about the same yet. Box Office: 'Pushpa 2' Second Friday Early Estimates

Mumbai, December 13 - Pushpa 2 starts the second weekend with a fantastic hold at the Hindi box office with the collection coming in more or less in the same range as yesterday, the second Thursday. In the first week, the movie minted around 425 crores net collection in Hindi.## According to the early estimates, Pushpa 2 has scored in the range of 26-27 crores on its second Friday/9th day in Hindi, pushing the total collection to over 450 crores net. The second weekend is probably heading for 100+ crores net with a drop of around 50% from the first Friday to Sunday weekend which is an excellent hold. ## As said, Pushpa 2 will enter the 500 crores net club by the second Sunday (11 days) and will become the fastest to achieve this feat, taking 7 fewer days than Jawan which is currently the fastest to do so in 18 days. Pushpa 2 is certain to beat Stree 2 (598 crores net), probably by next weekend to become the biggest Hindi grosser. ## Apart from Hindi, the Allu Arjun-fronted blockbuster action drama has a decent hold in Telugu states and the rest of the market as overall second Friday is estimated to gross in the range of 40 crores in all versions. Allu Arjun Sent For 14-Day Judicial Custody In Sandhya Theater Stampede Case

Hyderabad, December 13 - In a shocking turn of events, superstar Allu Arjun was arrested on Friday in a case related to a stampede at Sandhya Theater in Hyderabad where a woman died. This happened when the premiere of the actor's Pushpa 2 - The Rule was held and was attended by Allu Arjun and family on December 4. ## Now, according to the latest media reports, the bail of Allu Arjun has been rejected and sent to 14-dau judicial custody by a local court in Telangana in the case in which the deceased son was also injured and undergoing treatment. The actor has moved the Telangana High Court for urgent relief.## Earlier in the day, a police team, headed by the assistant commissioner, arrived at Arjun's home to take him into custody whilst his family members were present.
