'Pushpa 2' Tops 5 Crore Footfalls In India
Hyderabad, December 21 - Mythri Movie Makers' action drama Pushpa 2 - The Rule has topped 5 crore footfalls at the Indian box office in 17 days, becoming the second movie after Yash-fronted KGF: Chapter 2 to achieve the feat post the Covid-19 pandemic. ## The movie has been selling over 1 million tickets almost every day since its release on December 5. On its second Saturday (17th day), it has topped 50 million admissions in India and is set to beat KGF 2 which sold approximately 5.10 crore tickets in its lifetime run in all versions. ## The Hindi version of Pushpa 2 has alone generated 3+ crores of footfalls, followed by the original Telugu version (1.50 crores) while Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada versions have sold 50+ lakh tickets so far. It has become the second Telugu movie after Baahubali 2 to sell 5+ crores of tickets in India. ## Overall, the Allu Arjun-starrer is the 15th Indian movie ever to score 5 crores or more footfalls and it is likely to finish among the top 10 movies of all time at the end of its box office run. Iconic Bollywood blockbuster Sholay (1975) remains the most-watched film in theatres with well over 10 crores footfalls, followed by Baahubali 2 with 10+ crores. ## Stay tuned...
