James Gunn's 'Superman' Trailer Scored A Record 250+ Million Views In The First 24 Hours
Los Angeles, December 21 - Warner Bros. Pictures and DC Studios' Superman movie got off to an excellent start as the first trailer of James Gunn's directorial brought in a record viewership in the history of the studio, according to the filmmaker himself. ## Gunn announced on social media that the first trailer of Superman, starring David Corenswet as the new Man of Steel, scored 250+ million views across social media platforms in the first 24 hours. The maverick filmmaker also declared it the biggest trailer launch in Warner Bros. and DC Studio's history. ## "Krypto really did take us home: With over 250 million views and a million social posts, Superman is officially the most viewed and the most talked about trailer in the history of both DC and Warner Bros. This is because of all of you: thank you! We're incredibly grateful and, most of all, excited to share this movie with you in July", Gunn said on X. ## In 2024, the Superman trailer is the second most viewed among all the films, after Marvel Studios' Deadpool & Wolverine which is also the most viewed trailer of all time in the first 24 hours with 365 million views. Overall, it is the 5th most-viewed trailer ever.## The new Superman movie stars David Corenswet as Clark Kent / Superman, alongside Rachel Brosnahan as Lois Lane, Nicholas Hoult, Edi Gathegi, Anthony Carrigan, Nathan Fillion, Isabela Merced, Skyler Gisondo, Sara Sampaio, María Gabriela de Faría, Wendell Pierce, Alan Tudyk, Pruitt Taylor Vince, and Neva Howell.
