Ranbir Kapoor Gives A Straightforward Response On The Boycott Trend

Mumbai, September 7 - Bollywood star Ranbir Kapoor has turned down the boycott trend's effect on the films at the box office. The actor was promoting his upcoming film Brahmastra Part One: Shiva in the city along with Alia Bhatt and director Ayan Mukerji.## "Brahmastra" is the latest Bollywood film being targeted by the boycott gang and Ranbir was asked if this can affect their film. The actor gave a straightforward answer and said that films are getting failed at the box office because of the poor content, not the boycott calls. ## Ranbir gave the example of his last film "Shamshera" which had tanked at the box office. He said that the period action drama film did not do well because the audiences didn't like it which was clearly visible from the word of mouth. Filmmaker Prakash Jha Says He Doesn't Want To Work With Bollywood A-Listers

Mumbai, September 7 - Award-winning Bollywood filmmaker Prakash Jha said that he doesn't want to work with Bollywood A-Listers neither they want to work with him. The Apaharan director is returning to the silver screen with his upcoming film "Matto Ki Saikil" and has been going places for the promotion of the film. ## During a recent interview with India Today, Prakash Jha said that Bollywood A-Listers are not easily available to him because he doesn't want to finish a film in 30 days hence, he doesn't make a proposal like that. ## "I don't work with A-list actors. I have stopped that. They don't want to work with me either. Actors like Akshay Kumar, Ajay Devgn, Ranveer Singh, and Ranbir Kapoor are not easily available to me because I don't make a proposal like that. I don't want to finish a film in 30 days' time because the actor wants to move on to another project", he said. ## "I want to do my project the way I want. Many don't want to work on a difficult script. Vikram Vedha Trailer Gets Huge Applause From Special Screenings

Mumbai, September 7 - The much-awaited Bollywood biggie, Vikram Vedha, is getting ready for release on September 30. Directed by Pushkar-Gayathri, the movie is the official remake of the director duo's Tamil blockbuster of the same name starring Vijay Sethupathi and R Madhavan. Rakesh Roshan Reveals Hrithik Roshan's 'Krrish 4' Will Have The Elements of Cinematic Universe

Mumbai, September 7 - Filmmaker Rakesh Roshan is carefully working on the script of Hrithik Roshan-fronted Krrish 4 as he is aware of what the audiences are looking for nowadays from superhero films. Krrish 4 was announced a long time back but could never get finalized due to the covid-19 pandemic. ## During a recent interview with Bollywood Hungama, Rakesh Roshan revealed that he has almost done the script and is waiting for the right time to take it on floors. "My scripting is almost done. It's a big-budget film. The challenge for me is that in today's day and age, people are aware of and watch superhero films from all over the world. These superhero films are made on very big budgets. And we don't have such big budgets". ## The filmmaker further said that to make a superhero film in India, it is very important for the content of the movie to be strong and with newer ideas to come at par with the big-budget superhero movies.## "Our films are released in India and certain overseas territories with a huge South Asian diaspora and hence our box office potential is limited as compared to Hollywood. Kangana Ranaut's 'Tejas' Release Date To Be Delayed To January 2023?

Mumbai, September 6 - Kangana Ranaut-fronted hotly-awaited Tejas, based on Air Force pilot Tejas Gill, is all set to be postponed from the October 5th, 2022, release. It is believed that the movie will not meet its earlier announced release date deadline as some VFX work is still pending. ## Directed by Sarvesh Mewara and produced by Ronnie Screwvala under his banner RSVP Movies, "Tejas" will now reportedly be released in January 2023 in theaters. It was recently reported that the makers might take the direct-to-digital route for the movie, however, the latest reports suggest that it will release in theaters only. ## "Tejas was to release in October. However, since the film is very VFX there is still quite a bit of work pending. However, the work pending isn’t much yet it will still take a while. So to avoid doing a rushed job on the film, it was decided to defer the release date. Mumbai, September 6 - Filmmaker Rakesh Roshan, who gave India its first big screen superhero "Krrish", opened up on the sluggish response to most of the Bollywood movies at the box office post-pandemic. Rakesh Roshan, whose next film will be "Krrish 4", revealed where Bollywood filmmakers are going wrong which is resulting in the failure of their films. ## During an interview with Bollywood Hungama, Rakesh Roshan said that the filmmakers of Hindi cinema are not making films to which a large audience can relate. He also slammed the filmmakers for not giving enough attention to the songs in the movies, which, many believe, used to be Bollywood's USP. ## "That is because people are making films that they and their friends like to watch. They are picking subjects that appeal to a very minuscule section of the audience. A big chunk of the audience cannot relate to it", he said when asked why Hindi films have not worked at the box office recently. ## "Another major problem is that the songs are going out of the film. Earlier, there used to be 6 songs. These songs would help the actors turn into superstars. Whenever you listen to old classics, you remember the heroes who were featured in those songs. Nowadays, since there are no songs, toh hero yaad nahi aate hai. As a result, becoming a superstar is very difficult at present", he added. ## Post-pandemic, South Indian films have worked really well at the box office and a few of them have also done very good business in the Hindi market. Rakesh Roshan said that the filmmaker in the South are "still sticking to rooted stories and they are presenting them in a very upgraded way, keeping in mind the commercial sensibilities". ## "Our Bollywood filmmakers have drifted away from the roots of Indianness. They try to make so-called 'modern cinema' but it works with only 1% of the population. It does not cater to B and C centers. Mumbai, September 3 - The Bollywood film industry is having some nervy moments ahead of the big release of director Ayan Mukerji's Brahmastra Part One: Shiva. Arguably the biggest Hindi film ever, the fantasy adventure film tells the story of Ancient Indian Astras, led by Brahmastra, which is considered the most powerful Astra among all of them. ## "Brahmastra" carries a lot of expectations regarding its box office potential. The Bollywood industry hasn't had a great time at the box office during the post-pandemic era but "Brahmastra" is the film that actually can change the fortune and pave the way for a couple of upcoming films as well. ## The makers have been promoting the film heavily and leaving no stone unturned to make the film reach every person in the country. The plot involves an archaeologist, who has set out to check out whether "Ram Setu" is a myth or a reality. ## The Prabhas-fronted "Adipurush", on the other hand, is a movie that is already seen as a potential global blockbuster, and "Brahmastra" success could further validate this fact. The adaptation of Ramayana, "Adipurush" is the most expansive Indian film to date with an estimated budget of 500 crores. Shot simultaneously in Hindi and Telugu languages, the film stars Prabhas as Raghava, Kriti Sanon as Janaki, and Saif Ali Khan as Lankesh. ## This is the first time that multiple films based on Ramayana and other Hindu mythology are coming out on a regular space. "Ramayana" has been a massive hit on television in the 1980s and now, it is coming to the big screen. However, the only thing that might make the industry nervous regarding "Ram Setu" and "Adipurush" is that they are yet to know how the audience is going to accept these films.
