Vishnu Manchu's Mega Budgeted 'Kannappa' Announces Release Date Amid 'Pushpa 2 - The Rule' Postponement Rumours

Hyderabad, July 18 - Actor Vishnu Manchu's mega-budgeted fantasy film Kannappa also featuring multiple cameos of superstars, has announced a December 2024 release in multiple languages, amid the rumours of the postponement of superstar Allu Arjun's highly-awaited Pushpa 2 - The Rule.## There are rumours that Pushpa 2 - The Rule, which is scheduled to be released on December 6 this year, might get postponed due to the pending shot because of a rumoured rift between Allu Arjun and director Sukumar. However, some reliable portals have reported that the movie is well on track for a December 6 release as Sukumar has reportedly started editing the first half of the movie before resuming the last leg of the shoot in August. ## Though the postponement of the Pushpa 2 release looks unlikely, Vishnu Manchu has locked the December 2024 release (date not revealed yet), after might be sensing a crack in the Allu Arjun-fronted tentpole. Hyderabad, July 18 - Vyjayanthi Movies' epic sci-fi blockbuster Kalki 2898 AD is marching towards 1000 crores club at the worldwide box office and before reaching the milestone, it has created a new milestone of selling the highest number of tickets on Book My Show. ## The Prabhas-fronted tentpole has so far sold around 12.50 million (1.25 crores) tickets for all days, which is the highest for any movie since the platform started updating hourly trends on its app. It has beaten Shah Rukh Khan's Jawan which sold approximately 1.24 crores of tickets on BMS. ## Including Book My Show sold tickets, Nag Ashwin's directorial movie has sold an estimated 3.30 crores (33 million) tickets in 21 days so far. Mumbai, July 15 - Director Nag Ashwin's Kalki 2898 AD is a one-horse race at the Hindi box office and is marching towards 300 crores net club after a very good third weekend despite the arrival of new releases in the form of Akshay Kumar's Sarfira and Kamal Haasan's Hindustani 2. ## The Prabhas-fronted sci-fi epic remained the first choice of Hindi moviegoers after it scored approximately 21.70 crores net collection, more than the combined opening weekend total of Sarfira and Hindustani 2's 15.80 crores net in the third weekend. ## The total Hindi collection of Kalki 2898 AD has crossed 250 crores net at approximately 255 crores after 18 days. RC16: Shiva Rajkumar Joins The Cast of Ram Charan's Next With Director Buchi Babu Sana

Mumbai, July 9 - Kalki 2898 AD continues to put a solid show at the Hindi box office is approaching 250 crores net sooner than expected. The movie had a solid hold on the second Monday despite the weather challenges for approximately 6.50 crores net. ## The Prabhas-fronted sci-fi epic is showing a drop of around 10% on its second Tuesday (13th day) for an estimated 5.50-6 crores net, pushing the total Hindi collection to 224.50+ crores in 13 days. Tokyo, July 9 - Director Prashanth Neel's action drama Salaar: Part 1 - Ceasefire scored the third biggest opening weekend for an Indian movie at the Japan box office. The Prabhas-fronted movie was released on July 5, six months after it debuted in December 2023. ## According to a trade report, Salaar grossed ¥18.2 million (Rs. 95 lakh) in the first weekend, playing at nearly 200 locations.
