Warner Bros. Officially Delays 'Dune: Part 2' and 'Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire'
Los Angeles, August 25 - As SAG-AFTRA strikes continue to hit Hollywood, Warner Bros. Pictures is left with no choice but to postpone the release of its highly-anticipated sci-fi epic "Dune: Part 2" to next year from its original November 3, 2023, date.## Directed by Denis Villeneuve, the sequel, which will continue the story of Paul Atreides, played by Timothée Chalamet, will now be hitting big screens on March 15, 2024. It was revealed last month that the studio is planning to shift the release date of "Dune 2" if strikes continue and now, the official announcement has been made regarding the same.## As part of the shift, "Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire", which was slated for March 14, 2024, has now been pushed back one month to April 12, 2024. It is the sequel to "Godzilla vs. Kong" (2021) and is the latest entry in the Monsterverse franchise from Legendary and Warner Bros.## The postponement of "Dune 2" is going to benefit Marvel Studios' "The Marvels" which is scheduled to hit cinemas on November 10 this year. It will now be getting IMAX screens which was not possible due to "Dune 2" as a part of a contract between Warner Bros. and IMAX.## "Dune 2" stars Timothée Chalamet alongside Zendaya, Austin Butler, Florence Pugh, Rebecca Ferguson, Javier Bardem Dave Bautista, Christopher Walken, and Lea Seydoux, among others in prominent roles.## Stay tuned...
