SS Rajamouli's 'RRR' Gears Up For Re-release In USA Theaters In June

Los Angeles, May 14 - SS Rajamouli's three-hour-long epic blockbuster, "RRR", is gearing up to re-release in the USA theaters in June. The period action drama, starring Jr. NTR, and Ram Charan, has already grossed over $14 million in its initial run at the USA box office. ## Presented by Variance Films and Potentate Films with Sarigama Cinemas, "RRR" will be re-released in 100+ theaters in the USA on June 1. The movie has generated some of the strongest word-of-mouth buzz for a global movie in recent times. ## "America has embraced 'RRR' as its own and crossing borders, the love that the American audience has shown our film has been gratifying", writer-director Rajamouli said in a statement. Hyderabad, May 14 - Superstar Mahesh Babu's Sarkaru Vaari Paata has had an excellent first Saturday at the domestic box office, despite getting mixed reviews. The Parasuram-directed, after a big drop on Friday, witnesses a jump of approx. 20% on its 3rd day (Saturday) for an estimated 19-20 crores net. This pushes the total net collection to approx. 83 crores in 3 days. The action-comedy entertainer had scored over 47 crores share in AP/TG in the first two days. Mumbai, May 13 - Superstar Mahesh Babu's big-ticket entertainer "Sarkaru Vaari Paata" dips on its second day at the box office, after taking a thunderous opening of 55+ crores. RRR Movie Sets OTT Premiere Date On ZEE5 For South Indian Versions

Hyderabad, May 10 - Telugu superstar Mahesh Babu will be in the action after more than two years with the upcoming action entertainer, "Sarkaru Vaari Paata", stated for 12th May release. The actor turned producer also awaiting the release of his production venture "Major" starring Adivi Sesh. ## While SVP is an outright Telugu movie, "Major" has been shot in Hindi and Telugu and it will also be released in Malayalam. For the last few years, Pan-India cinema is becoming a norm, however, Mahesh Babu is still not thinking to take his movies to Pan-India, instead, his aim has always been to make movies from the South a countrywide success.## "I always wanted to do Telugu films and wished people across India would watch it. Today the emotion is so strong, films have become so big that the lines have blurred and it's become Indian cinema", Mahesh Babu said during the trailer launch event of "Major" in Hyderabad yesterday (via DNA). ## While it is a fact that many South Indian actors are eager to make their Bollywood debut, Mahesh Babu seems to be in a different mood as he shockingly said that Bollywood can't afford him despite him getting big offers from Hindi filmmakers. ## "I may sound arrogant, I did get a lot of offers in Hindi. But I think they can't afford me. I don't want to waste my time. The stardom and love I have here in Telugu cinema, I never thought of going to another industry. I always thought I will do films here and they will become bigger, and my belief is turning into a reality now. Based on the life of Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan, an army officer who was killed in the 2008 Mumbai attacks, the movie also stars Saiee Manjrekar, Sobhita Dhulipala, Prakash Raj, Revathi, and Murali Sharma in prominent roles. ## Mahesh Babu, who believed that Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan's story must be known to the world, stated that the martyr's story is larger than life. ## During the trailer launch event in Hyderabad yesterday, Mahesh Babu revealed that he received lucrative OTT offers during the Covid period, but was adamant that the movie needed to be released in theatres only because the action design and emotions were larger than life.## "Major" has been shot simultaneously in Hindi and Telugu while it will also be released in dubbed Malayalam version.
