Legendary Boxer Mike Tyson To Feature In Vijay Deverakonda's 'Liger'

Mumbai, September 27 - Vijay Deverakonda is going to share the screen with legendary boxer Mike Tyson in the upcoming multilingual Pan-India film, Liger. A couple of months ago, it was reported that the makers of Liger had approached the American veteran boxer to play a significant cameo. ## On Monday (September 27), makers confirmed Tyson's inclusion in this boxing action drama film. It is said that he will be seen in the climax and will play Deverakonda's mentor in this Puri Jagannath directorial. It is surely a big moment in Indian cinema when Tyson will be entertaining Indian audiences for the first time. ## Producer Karan Johar took to Twitter and made this Big announcement. Vijay Devarakonda is playing a boxer in the film and he also underwent training in mixed martial arts. Ananya Panday is the leading lady opposite Deverakonda in this film apart from Ramya Krishnan and Ronit Roy in prominent roles.## LIGER will also feature numerous foreign fighters. Currently, the film's shooting is happening in Goa where some high-octane action sequences are being canned. "BLOOD SWEAT VIOLENCE", the makers define the ongoing schedule. Shah Rukh Khan's 'Pathan' And Salman Khan Starrer 'Tiger 3' To Release In The Second Half Of 2022!

Mumbai, September 27 - Bollywood set the internet on fire when the filmmakers announced the release dates of as many as 16 long-awaited films yesterday (September 26). Yash Raj Films lead the chart with four release date announcements of its films that include "Bunty Aur Babli 2" (Nov 19, 2021), "Prithviraj" (Jan 21), "Jayeshbhai Jordaar" (Feb 25), "Shamshera" (March 18). ## However, among the number of release date announcements, fans were hoping that Yash Raj Films would also finalize the release dates of two highly-awaited films "Tiger 3" and "Pathan". There is no doubt that Salman Khan starrer "Tiger 3" and Shah Rukh Khan's comeback film "Pathan" will shatter box office records whenever they will be released. ## Salman and SRK fans may have left with disappointment, but the good news is not too far away from now on. Akshay Kumar Gears For A Blockbuster Year of 2022 With Back-To-Back Movie Releases

Mumbai, September 26 - It has been a crazy day for the movie buffs, thanks to a slate of big release date announcements from the Bollywood film industry. After waiting for more than one and a half years, the rapid countrywide vaccination and theater reopening announcement in Maharashtra lures Bollywood filmmakers to announce the release dates of their pending movies. ## On Sunday (September 26), there were as many as 16 release dates announcements of Hindi movies, and six of them are to release this year and the rest are set to hit big screens in 2022. Apart from today's five release date announcements, Akshay Kumar starrer "Sooryavanshi" will also be hitting theaters on Diwali this year, which was confirmed by director Rohit Shetty yesterday. ## Meanwhile, Akshay Kumar will once again be in action throughout the year 2022. Mumbai, September 26 - The government of Maharashtra, on September 25, announced that the theaters in the state will be permitted to operate from October 22. The announcement came after filmmaker Rohit Shetty among others met the state CM and urged him to reopen theaters as it is the biggest market for Hindi films. ## Upon the good news, Shetty announced the release date of his long-awaited "Sooryavanshi" on Diwali this year. This actually paves the way for other filmmakers and studios to follow the suit and finalize the premiere dates of their pending films that include medium to big-budget films. ## Yash Raj Films was one of the firsts to announce the release dates of its four movies. Akshay Kumar and Manushi Chillar starrer historical drama film "Prithviraj" has been confirmed to debut in theaters on January 21, 2022. Maharashtra Government Announces The Reopening Of Theaters After Filmmaker Rohit Shetty And Others Met State CM

Mumbai, September 25: Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray on Saturday announced that cinema halls and drama theatres in the state will be allowed to operate from October 22 on the condition that they follow all the protocols required to prevent the spread of coronavirus.## The standard operating procedure (SOPs) regarding cinema reopening is in the works and will be issued soon. Earlier in the day, filmmaker Rohit Shetty along with Jayantilal Gada of PEN Studios, and representative of multiplex owners met chief minister Uddhav Thackeray and discussed the theater reopening status and urged him for urgent action. ## Theatres and auditoriums in Maharashtra will open after 22nd October 2021 while observing all COVID safety protocols. Ajay Devgn And Drishyam Cast Set To Reprise Their Roles In Drishyam 2!

Mumbai, September 23: Superstar Ajay Devgn has locked one more film in his long list of the upcoming slate. The actor, who is currently working on multiple films such as Mayday, Maidaan, Thank God, and Disney+Hotstar series Rudra, is all set to return as Vijay Salgaonkar in the sequel to the blockbuster "Drishyam".## Earlier in May this year, Kumar Mangat Pathak and Abhishek Pathak's Panorama Studios International had acquired the Hindi remake rights of Mohanlal starrer suspense thriller "Drishyam 2". The latest development around the Hindi remake is that it is set to go on floors in December this year after Ajay Devgn finishing his current projects. ## According to Peepingmoon, Ajay Devgn has given his dates from late December to this sequel that will be the remake of Mohanlal's critically acclaimed Malayalam film, Drishyam 2: The Resumption. Kangana Ranaut Files A Counter Defamation Case Against Javed Akhtar

Mumbai, September 20, 2021: Actress Kangana Ranaut appeared before a magistrate's court in Andheri, Mumbai, for the hearing in the defamation case filed against her by veteran Bollywood lyricist, Javed Akhtar. ## The court had directed the actress last week to appear on the next date, failing which it would issue an arrest warrant. After Kangana's appearance, the court adjourned the matter to November 15. ## Kangana, however, is not happy with the in-charge court on the grounds and moved a plea before the Chief Metropolitan Magistrate seeking a transfer of the defamation case as she has "lost faith". She also filed a counter defamation case against Akhtar. Both will be heard on October 1. ## In her complaint against the veteran lyricist, Ranaut has accused him of extortion and criminal intimidation among other charges. Actor Sonu Sood Evaded Over Rs. 20 Crore In Taxes, Violated FCRA Norms, Claims IT Department

Mumbai, September 18, 2021: The Income Tax department, which had speed up and widened its tax evasion probe against actor and philanthropist Sonu Sood, has claimed in a statement that the actor has evaded taxes of over Rs. 20 crore. ## After conducting raids at the actor's premise for three days in a row at different locations, the department today said that it has found incriminating evidence pertaining to tax evasion during the search. "The main modus operandi followed by the actor had been to route his unaccounted income in the form of bogus unsecured loans from many bogus entities", the IT department said in a statement. ## Sonu Sood has been hailed as massiah for his philanthropical efforts during the covid-19 lockdown and tried to help people as much as he could. He had recently announced a tie-up with Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal's Aam Aadmi Party.## "Investigations so far have revealed use of 20 such entries, the providers of which, on examination, have accepted on oath to have given bogus accommodation entries. They have accepted to have issued cheques in lieu of cash. There have been instances where professional receipts have been camouflaged as loans in the books of accounts for the purpose of evasion of tax. It has also been revealed that these bogus loans have been used for making investments and acquiring properties. The total amount of tax evaded unearthed so far, amounts to more than Rs. 20 crore", the statement further read.## The CBDT said that the foundation has collected donations worth Rs. 18.94 crore from April 1, 2021, till date, out of which it has spent around Rs. 1.9 crore towards various relief work while the balance of Rs. 17 crore has been found lying unutilised in the bank account of the foundation.## "It is seen that funds to the tune of Rs. 2.1 crore have also been raised by the charity foundation from overseas donors on a crowdfunding platform in violation of (Foreign Contribution Regulation Act) FCRA regulations", the CBDT statement added.## The department also said that cash of Rs 1.8 crore has been seized during the searches and 11 lockers have been placed under prohibitory order.
