Tom Hanks has 'good news', 'bad news'

Los Angeles, March 18 (IANS) A day after Hollywood star Tom Hanks and his wife Rita Wilson were released from a hospital in Australia, the actor shared "good news" and "bad news" from his house isolation. ## Taking to Instagram on March 17, the 63-year-old wrote: "Hey folks. Good News: One week after testing Positive, in self-isolation, the symptoms are much the same. No fever, but the blahs. Folding the laundry and doing the dishes leads to a nap on the couch." ## He then jokingly added: "Bad news: My wife @ritawilson has won 6 straight hands of Gin Rummy and leads by 201 points." ## In the post, the "Inferno" star also reacted to fans' debate over his vegemite consumption caused by his Sunday post. ## "But I have learned not to spread my Vegemite so thick," he noted before taking a jab at the typewriter he brought along for the trip which was ironically labelled "corona." ## He ended his post with positive message that read: "We are all in this together. Flatten the curve. Hanx." ## Hanks's update came just one day after his son Chet shared that Tom and Rita have left hospital to self-quarantine themselves in a rented house in Queensland. ## "Quick update on my folks: They're out of the hospital. They're still self-quarantined obviously, but they're feeling a lot better, so that's a relief," the 29-year-old said in an Instagram video. ## Reminding that "panicking isn't necessary," Chet also pleaded with others not to be selfish amid the pandemic. ## "I think if you went to the grocery store and hoarded all water and the toilet paper for yourself, you're the problem. You should just think more of others for once… I know this is crazy, but I'm just wishing everyone the best and we're gonna to get through this." ## Hanks, who is in Australia to film Baz Luhrmann's untitled Elvis Presley movie, came out with the announcement that he and his wife had been tested positive for coronavirus on Wednesday, March 11. ## "We felt a bit tired, like we had colds, and some body aches. Rita had some chills that came and went. Slight fevers too," he shared at the time. ## For more and the latest news about Hollywood, stay tuned to us.

Gigi Hadid: Being away from city makes me feel like a kid

Los Angeles, March 18 (IANS) Model Gigi Hadid was recently interviewed by not one, but four of famous friends -- Serena Williams, Kendall Jenner, Blake Lively and Taylor Swift. ## In the interview that appears in Harper's Bazaar magazine, Gigi revealed several unknown facts of her life. Among interesting things her fans got to know is that the highflying model actually prefers rural tranquillity over life in the fast lane of the big cities. ## She said she enjoys being at her mother Yolanda Hadid's Pennsylvania property and how it reminds her of the "simple pleasures" of life. ## "The farm has really made me remember, and bring back to my life, my most simple pleasures. It's allowed me to fill my days off with the little things that make me happy, like art, gardening, yoga, cooking, being outside, and spending time with my loved ones and animals without having to worry about things like what I'm wearing or how my hair looks, or being photographed or seen that day. Being away from the city and the public eye makes me feel like a kid again, and that freedom has been really healing for me," said Gigi, according to a report in femalefirst.co.uk. ## In the interview to the new issue of Harper's Bazaar magazine, Gigi also spoke about herself. "I give a lot of credit to the fact that I'm a Taurus, whether that has anything to do with it or not... Haha... but I've always felt a connection to when people say that a Taurus is at peace with the timing of the earth. I trust that everything we go through, good or bad, is for the better," she said. ## For more and the latest news about Hollywood, stay tuned to us.

It (coronavirus) is a really big deal right now and it is not a joke. I know because a lot of us haven't seen it with our eyes - what it's been doing and who it's been affecting - it's hard to understand that it's real. But it really is real, and I've seen a lot of young people out in the world, all over the place, going to the club or going to the beach, just going out and hanging out. It's really irresponsible," she said.## Eilish went on to note that the trend for "social distancing" is "everyone's responsibility" because people should consider the older, weaker people around them.## She also suggested fans stay inside as much possible and resist the temptation to buy up basic goods and toiletries in bulk: "Don't panic, there are enough supplies for people - don't hoard things."## For more and latest news about Hollywood, stay tuned with us.

Paris Hilton wants to live forever

London, March 16 (IANS) Socialite Paris Hilton wants to live forever because she thinks it would be "boring" if there's nothing after death.## "Death scares me because I don't know what happens. I just don't want it to be anything because that would be so boring. I'm trying to figure out a way - freezing myself or inventing the fountain of youth pill - so people could live forever, like that movie 'Death Becomes Her'," Hilton told Britain's Cosmopolitan magazine, reports femalefirst.co.uk.## She feels "lucky" that she has retained her youthful appearance without resorting to cosmetic surgery.## "I feel 21 forever. And I'm all-natural. I feel so lucky that my mum always told me to stay out of the sun. I feel lucky I haven't had to resort to what most people do in this town," Hilton said.## Meanwhile, though she has ruled herself out of a reboot of "The Simple Life", Hilton said producers have quizzed her on who she thought would be perfect for the show - which saw her and Nicole Richie try their hands at various tasks - if it did come back, but refused to say who she chose.## She said: "My schedule is just so insane. I can't imagine leaving my life and going to the middle of nowhere and doing that again. Plus the show is so timeless and iconic, you can't remake that. They asked me who I would recommend if I didn't want to do it myself. (Who did I say?) I can't tell. I've signed a confidentiality agreement.## "I don't know (if it is coming back). I don't think it'll ever be what it was, but it will be fun to watch other people do it."## For more and latest news about Hollywood, stay tuned with us.

Jackman credits critics for pushing him out of comfort zone

Los Angeles, March 15 (IANS) Hollywood star Hugh Jackman used criticism in his early career as "an asset" to push him out of his comfort zone. ## Jackman has carved a successful career on film and on stage, for roles, including "Wolverine", "The Greatest Showman" P. T. Barnum, and his touring one-man Broadway show, reports aceshowbiz.com. ## Speaking with Fox News, he opened up about his refusal to be pigeonholed into one genre throughout his career, and explained the "challenge" pushed him to seek out "variety" in the roles he takes. ## "I liked (the) stage. I liked singing. I like film. I liked Shakespeare. I liked all of it. So I thought well, my approach is I'm going to hold as many doors open as possible, try to open them and once they're open, try to hold them up for as long as I can," he said. ## Jackman said he faced resistance from critics who struggled to label him when he was starting out, he believes resisting conformity helped him achieve the success he enjoys today. ## "There was a period in (my career) where I wasn't sure if (my) strategy was working. But weirdly, I think I stuck in there long enough for it to become an asset. There were moments at the beginning of Wolverine where I doubted early on (if I could do it)," he said. ## "And usually, if I look back, the projects where I've had that feeling are generally the best (ones). And, I wish I could have told myself that back then." ## For more and the latest news about Hollywood, stay tuned to us.
