Will do whatever possible to bring peace: Rajinikanth

Chennai, March 2 (IANS) Tamil superstar Rajinikanth has said that he would do whatever possible within his capacity to bring peace in the country. ## In a tweet late Sunday, Rajinikanth said he was happy to meet the officials of Tamil Nadu Jamathul Ulama Sabai (TNJUS) and hear their views. ## "I second their views that love, unity and peace should be the main goal of a country," he said. ## Earlier on Sunday, TNJUS members met Rajinikanth and apprised him of issues related to the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA), National Population Register (NPR) and the National Register of Citizens (NRC). ## According to K.M. Mumbai, March 2 (IANS) Actress-producer Anushka Sharma says as an artist and a producer, she has only tried to do new things and has never succumbed to pressure of any sort. ## "As an artist and a producer, I have only tried to do new things. I have never succumbed to pressure of any sort and I have relished at every opportunity to do something new and learn something dramatically different," Anushka said. ## She said that her body of work is a testimony to this. ## "And I consider myself fortunate that I have got the opportunity to collaborate with some of the best minds in the business and always push the envelope," she added. ## Anushka's horror flick "Pari" has completed two years of its release on Monday. She says she wanted to set a course towards an uncharted territory with the film. ## "I was blown away with (the script of) 'Pari' and I knew immediately that I was producing this film. 'Pari' presented me with a unique challenge that I never faced and I wanted to explore myself as an actor in a genre and a character that I had never done before and had not seen many explore too. ## "So, for me, I wanted to set course towards an uncharted territory and entertain audiences and with something that they wouldn't expect," she said. ## For Anushka, it was satisfying that she gave audiences worldwide a genre-defining horror film. ## "I was thrilled with (the success of) 'Pari'... we did it with a genre-bending, intelligent horror film. I'm thankful for the love and appreciation that the film and I received from audiences and critics. She says her character in the bilingual film is impeccably detailed. ## "The arc of my character in 'Major' is impeccably detailed and done with honesty. 'Goodachari', my debut film in Telugu went on to become a critical and commercial success so it is doubly wonderful for me to reunite with the same team for a film as feisty as 'Major'," Sobhita said. ## The actress reunites again with "Goodachari" director Sashi Kiran and actor Adivi Sesh. ## Adivi, who has already started shooting for the film, will be seen playing the title role in "Major". ## "I am happy to collaborate with Sobitha after our Telugu super hit 'Goodachari'. It is exciting that we are doubling our challenges for Major in Hindi," said Kiran. ## "Major" is inspired on the life of national hero Sandeep Unnikrishnan, the NSG commando who lost his life in the tragic 26/11 terrorist attacks in Mumbai. Fanning hopes it will satisfy people who are fans of the book. She also thinks the Brett Haley-directed movie could help other young people who have gone through similar experiences to her on-screen character. ## She told Collider: "Violet's trajectory of her grieving process is something that we really wanted to stay truthful. It's her process, and everyone's process is different, but it's life. Also, it's Jennifer Niven's story. This isn't fiction. This really happened to her, when she was young. She had a boyfriend who this happened to. ## "So, we wanted to make sure that it was handled with care. We also thought about fans of the book. We got to meet a lot of those kids and read letters from kids who this story has helped, and I hope that the movie does the same. There's a real community now. It was really creepy every single time. They did such a good job with that doll and I mean, I didn't want to be alone with the doll. It was weird. By the end, it was like, 'Am I waiting in line behind a doll at catering? I might be. Los Angeles, March 1 (IANS) Singer Liam Gallagher was terrified as he thought he caught Covid-19 after returning home from a recent European tour.## The Oasis rocker, told his fans he's "scared" by the outbreak, after several cases of the life-threatening virus have been confirmed in the UK, Germany, France, and Italy, reports aceshowbiz.com.## Gallagher took to the stage in Paris, France on February 25, the same day the first French person carrying the illness died, and he also performed in Italy and Germany recently.## Taking to Twitter, he said he thought he had caught the virus after a fan probed the songwriter for his thoughts on the breakout.## Recalling he thought he had caught the virus, he said: "It's very confusing and scary though. 'Luka Chuppi' was on the subject of live-in relationship. 'Mimi' on the other hand deals with surrogacy in a unique way," Kriti said.## "Luka Chuppi" also stars Kartik Aaryan. It tells the story of a TV reporter who lives-in with his headstrong intern.## "Mimi" narrates the story of a young aspiring actress who is a dancer in Mandawa and how she ends up being a surrogate for a couple. According to reports, Kriti has put on about 15 kilos to get into the skin of her character.## Inspired by the 2010 Marathi movie "Mala Aai Vhhaychy", "Mimi" also features actors Sai Tamhankar and Pankaj Tripathi in pivotal roles.
