Orton mentioned that the Usos made the initial challenge for a unification match but there wasn’t anything on the line last night because Roman Reigns ripped up the contract. ## Orton said he and Riddle still wanted to unify the titles. Riddle said they’d be on Smackdown and would demand that Reigns give them the unification match because the Usos can’t make decisions for themselves. ## So, coming up this Friday, they will be on SmackDown and they will ask Roman Reigns directly to allow the Usos to compete against them in the unification match that they were scheduled to have at WWE WrestleMania Backlash 2022. ## Predicted Match Card ## Ronda Rousey Gets A New Opponent ## At WWE WrestleMania Backlash 2022 Ronda Rousey forced Charlotte Flair to quit by locking her in an armbar using the chair to generate more impact. ## After Ronda won the SmackDown Women’s title last night (May 8) by making the Queen say “I Quit” with an armbar applied through a steel chair, WWE announced that Flair had “suffered a fractured radius.” So, WWE would be looking to build a strong opponent for Ronda Rousey for the upcoming PPV. Despite the titles merging, the belief is that WWE isn’t going to be ending the brand split in the near future. Sami Zayn ## As announced, Drew McIntyre Vs. Sami Zayn will be a rematch coming up next. Drew McIntyre and Sami Zayn both had a match on the April 8th edition of SmackDown, but Zayn again jumped out of the ring. He jumped over the barricade and ran off to end the match. ## IC Title Match: Ricochet(c) Vs. Jinder Mahal ## Plush, we are going to have an Intercontinental Title match with the champion Ricochet defending against the challenger Jinder Mahal. On the April 8th edition of SmackDown, we were in the back, Jinder Mahal and Shanky were speaking with Adam Pearce. ## Mahal demanded a match with Intercontinental Champion Ricochet. Pearce claimed it wasn't that easy to get a match. The match has now been added to next week's Friday on SmackDown. ## Predicted Match Card ## Charlotte Flair and Ronda Rousey will get into a physical action ## After falling short against SmackDown Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair at WrestleMania, Ronda Rousey challenged The Opportunity to an “I Quit” Match at WrestleMania Backlash. ## When Flair gave a resounding "no!" to the challenge, Rousey insisted the rematch will happen and that Charlotte will scream "no" when she turns the titleholder's arm backward. ## Lacey Evans To Continue Her Story ## After months of absence due to pregnancy, Evans made her return to WWE on SmackDown. Lacey Evans discussed how her difficult past transformed her into the woman she is today. At the end of the discussion, it was teased that Evans will continue her story. ## Singles Match: Happy Corbin Vs Madcap Moss ## After his undefeated streak ended at the hands of Drew McIntyre at WrestleMania, Happy Corbin blamed Madcap Moss for the loss on his latest episode of “Happy Talk.” Corbin suddenly attacked his supposed friend, and the two engaged in an all-out brawl. ## IC Title Match between Ricochet(c) and Jinder Mahal Gets A DQ. ## I want this match with no interference, but things often keep happening in WWE. Last week, former WWE Champion Jinder Mahal convinced WWE Official Adam Pearce to give him an opportunity at Ricochet's Intercontinental Title. ## Veer will be out there to probably to pull off some distractions. ## Shinsuke Nakamura Challenges Roman Reigns For The Title Match At WrestleMania Backlash ## After capturing the WWE Championship from Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania, new Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns challenged SmackDown Tag Team Champions Jimmy and Jey Uso to go to Raw and unify the Tag Team Titles. ## Then, when Shinsuke Nakamura interrupted The Bloodline to presumably take issue with what happened to Rick Boogs at WrestleMania, Reigns introduced him to The Island of Relevancy with a hug. He said he was going to move on from Lesnar because he was a progressive tribal chief, and closed the show saying that we would find out what is next for him on this Friday’s episode of SmackDown. ## His future will be revealed on the April 8 episode of WWE SmackDown when he tells his next step. At WrestleMania 38, he pinned Brock Lesnar to win the WWE Championship for a 4th time and also became the first superstar to hold both the WWE Championship and WWE Universal Championship simultaneously. ## Post-WrestleMania edition of "Happy Talk" ## After his undefeated streak was stopped in its tracks by Drew McIntyre at WrestleMania, Happy Corbin returns to SmackDown to join his cackling cohort Madcap Moss for a post-Show of Shows edition of "Happy Talk." ## Predicted Match Card ## Cody Rhodes Is Scheduled To Appear On The Show ## Cody Rhodes is slated to be at tomorrow's Smackdown taping, According to PWInsider.com. ## There is no word whether he will be appearing on the episode or working a dark match. Butch & Ridge Holland ## Spurred on by a special pre-match message from Big E, who updated the WWE Universe on his injury status, Kofi Kingston dished out some punishment on the man who sidelined his friend: Ridge Holland. ## Sheamus and Butch were ejected for interference, but before the pair reached the top of the entrance ramp, Kingston tossed Sheamus' shillelagh at the two, setting off Butch. Butch dove back into the ring only for Sheamus to grab him by the legs and drag him back out.
