Spoilers Results For WWE SmackDown February 18, 2022

WWE filming The February 18 Elimination Chamber go-home edition of WWE SmackDown on FOX tonight at the Smoothie King Center in New Orleans. ## WWE is filming next week's episode tonight, as they'll be traveling to Saudi Arabia that night. Check out the Full Spoilers Results. ## --The face-off between WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns and WWE Hall of Famer Bill Goldberg opened the episode. This was basic trash talking between the two, not a long segment at all and no fighting. Goldberg came out to his longer entrance from his dressing room, with pyro and all. ## --Ricochet defeated Sheamus ## --Sami Zayn defeated Shinsuke Nakamura to become the new IC Champion ## --Ivar defeated SmackDown Tag team Champion Jimmy Uso ## --There was a promo segment featuring Drew McIntyre with Madcap Moss and Happy Baron Corbin. ## --There were extended promos for Roman Reigns vs. Goldberg and the Elimination Chamber. ## --- A contract signing between Ronda Rousey and Naomi vs. Sonya Deville & Charlotte. During the contract signing, Rousey attacks Flair by sending her head into the table and throwing the contract on her face. Meanwhile, Naomi follows up a Roundhouse kick on Sonya Deville. After abusing her power at the expense of Naomi week after week on SmackDown, as well as during the Royal Rumble Match, WWE Official Sonya Deville surprised just about everybody when she informed her adversary that she would get a SmackDown Women’s Title Match against Charlotte Flair this week on SmackDown. ## Naomi has battled Flair in two heated Championship Contender's Matches, with Deville’s trickery costing her any chance of winning. ## Check Out The Full Match Recap: ## They lock up and with a slap on the brake to Charlotte. Charlotte with a side headlock and shoulder tackle. Charlotte pulls Naomi onto the mat. Naomi takes it down with a head-scissor and hits the Irtish whip but flips Charlotte Flair onto the apron. Naomi kicks Charlotte off the apron and hits a Pescado on Charlotte. ## Back from the commercial break, Charlotte sends Naomi into the turnbuckle and chokes Naomi in the corner. Naomi with shoes in the jaw and Charlotte falls into the corner. Charlotte sends Naomi to the apron and Naomi with a round kick. ## Naomi goes up and hits a cross body to almost fall. Naomi with a waist lock and Charlotte with a back elbow. Charlotte misses a clothesline. ## But she pulls Naomi off the ropes on a springboard move. Charlotte gets a near fall. Charlotte has scissors in her head and pushes Naomi's head onto the mat. ## Charlotte misses the boot in the corner and Naomi kicks Charlotte in the back of the second leg. Naomi with a spin sits Jaw Breaker for a near fall. Naomi with a jackknife cover. ## Charlotte with chops and a backbreaker for a near fall. Charlotte with a bow and arrow around the ring post. Naomi with a kick. Naomi with a springboard round kick and she goes up. Naomi in for a near fall with a blockbuster. They go to the floor and Charlotte sends Naomi into the ring steps. ## Back from the commercial break, Naomi connects with a jawbreaker to escape. Naomi with a lateral press to counter a tilt-a-whirl backbreaker for a near fall. Naomi lands a springobard round kick for a near fall. ## Charlotte Flair lifts Naomi up and sends Naomi to the mat with a massive Powerbomb for near fall. Charlotte walks over to Naomi to go to the turnbuckles for a Moonsault attempt. Naomi moves and Charlotte with the Andrade but Naomi gets her knees up. Naomi with Rear View for a near fall. Naomi polls Charlotte into the corner and Naomi goes for a split-legged Moonsault but Charlotte gets her knees up. Charlotte with a rollup for a near fall. ## Naomi connects with a Full Nelson bomb and she almost collapses. Naomi with a head-scissor driver for a near fall. Naomi goes to the turnbuckle for a split-legged Moonsault and hits her for a near fall. To stop the count, Charlotte put her foot on the rope. ## Charlotte avoids Rear View and clips Naomi. Sami Zayn ## Shinsuke Nakamura will make his first televised defense of the WWE Intercontinental Championship since September. Nakamura will defend the Intercontinental title against Sami Zayn on SmackDown on Friday, February 18. ## The champion had been out with an arm injury since the December 2021 WWE Live event. His last IC title bout came on a WWE UK tour in Manchester on November 10. Nakamura defeated Jinder Mahal in that match. ## Another side, on the December 24th edition of SmackDown...Ricochet, Cesaro, Mansoor, Erik, Ivar, Drew Gulak, Sheamus, Sami Zayn, Jinder Mahal, Shanky, Angel, and Humberto competed in a “12 Days of Christmas” 12-Man Gauntlet Match with the winner receiving an Intercontinental Championship Match! ## Zayn got the final pinfall and by virtue of winning the 12-man gauntlet to face Nakamura for the IC Title. This match is on now and will take place on SmackDown on Friday, February 18. ## Winner Prediction: Sami Zayn ## Roman Reigns, Goldberg To meet face-to-face ## A face-to-face between Goldberg and Roman Reigns is set for next week’s SmackDown. The two will meet on a show that will air just one day prior to Elimination Chamber on February 19. Both had sit-down interviews on the February 11th edition of SmackDow with Michael Cole talking about the upcoming match. ## Ronda Rousey & Naomi meet Charlotte Flair & Sonya Deville in the ring for a WWE Elimination Chamber Contract Signing ## As noted, Ronda Rousey & Naomi will team up to take on SmackDown Women's Champion Charlotte Flair & Sonya Deville at Elimination Chamber PLE. ## last Friday on SmackDown, Charlotte Flair defended the SmackDown Women's Title against Naomi. Although Flair would defeat Naomi in the subsequent SmackDown Women's Title Match, post-contest taunting by Sonya on the defeated Naomi let the a 2-on-1 attack by The Queen and Deville. ## This brought Rousey to the rescue. For the first time in nearly three years, “Rowdy” Ronda Rousey returned to Monday Night Raw following her remarkable Royal Rumble victory. ## Rousey appeared during the main event segment of Raw tonight. But she didn't announce which title she's going to challenge for at WrestleMania 38. Rousey said she'll reveal the decision on SmackDown this Friday. Rousey delivered a hot promo saying that she has unfinished business with both Raw Women's Champion Becky Lynch and SmackDown Women's Champion Charlotte Flair. ## During the prom, Lynch would follow up and confronted Rousey. Lynch wanted a decision from Rousey, but Rousey took her down with an arm throw. Rousey said Lynch will have her decision this Friday. ## The Baddest Woman on the Planet made her return to WWE in epic fashion as the No. 28 entrant in the Royal Rumble Match, recording four eliminations, including SmackDown Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair, to earn the milestone victory. ## Natalya & Shayna Baszler Vs. Aliyah & Shotzi ## Last Friday, Shayna Baszler, Aliyah, Natalya, and Shotzi all emerged to position themselves heading into last Saturday’s Royal Rumble Match. It was also the surprise return of Sasha Banks that truly shook things up. ## Moments after The Boss declared her intention to enter the Rumble, she slapped The Queen and kicked off all-out bedlam between all the competitors in the ring. So, we could see a Tag Team match. ## Goldberg Set To Challenge Roman Reigns For The Universal Title At Elimination Chamber ## Per Fightful, the plan for Bill Goldberg is to return to WWE imminently. The working plan has been for Goldberg to work the upcoming Elimination Chamber event in Saudi Arabia. ## Goldberg would be challenging Roman Reigns for the WWE Universal Championship. The match was set to take place for the title two years ago at WrestleMania, but Reigns withdrew from the match at the start of the pandemic and didn't return until August 2020. ## Considering how much WWE creative has changed in recent weeks, this is hardly a given. Last year, Bill Goldberg claimed in Sports Illustrated that he had one match remaining on his deal, though in other interviews, he'd said he's signed through 2023. Those we spoke to believe his deal is up after his upcoming match. ## Shinsuke Nakamura Vs. Sami Zayn To Be Announced ## The champion had been out with an arm injury since the December 2021 WWE Live event. Before the 2022 Royal Rumble event, he announced on his Instagram Stories that he has been cleared for "fighting." ## So, WWE is likely to go with the impending match between Sami Zayn and Nakamura. Two brand new matches have been added to next week's SmackDown match card. ## Next Friday's SmackDown is set to take place on January 28, 2022, and will air live from T-Mobile Center, Kansas City, MO. ## Tonight on SmackDown Kofi Kingston (with Big E) defeated Riddick Moss (with Baron Corbin). After the match, Corbin got in the ring, and Big E took off his jacket and confronted Corbin, but he went back to the floor. ## However, Big E picked up Moss and hit a Big Ending.
