Roman Reigns has been unstoppable as the undisputed Universal Champion in WWE. The head of the table has been on hold since returning back in 2020 and shows no sign of stopping any time soon. He has also achieved another position in WWE. ##
The Tribal Chief defeated Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 38 to become the Undisputed Universal Champion. He has now reached a huge milestone by crossing 100+ days as the Undisputed Universal Champion. However, he has only defended the titles once so far, against Matt Riddle. ##
He won the title by defeating previous champion "The Fiend" Bray Wyatt and Braun Strowman, who Reigns pinned, in a No Holds Barred Triple Threat match at Payback on August 30, 2020, in Orlando, Florida. Roman Reigns is now only behind Brock Lesnar who claims to be the longest single-reigning WWE Universal champion at 503 days. ##
Since winning the Universal Title at Payback, Reigns had defended the title against several Top stars in WWE. His first title defense came against his cousin Jey Uso at Clash Of Champion. In his second championship defense at the Friday Night SmackDown Season 2 Premiere, Reigns defeated Braun Strowman by technical submission to retain the title. ##
Reigns successfully defended the title against Owens in a TLC match at TLC: Tables, Ladders & Chairs on December 20 and a Last Man Standing match at the Royal Rumble on January 31, 2021, respectively. Reigns then retained his title against Daniel Bryan at both the Elimination Chamber and Fastlane events. ##
In the main event of night 2 of WrestleMania 37 on April 11, Reigns defeated Bryan and Edge in a triple threat match to retain the Universal Championship after assistance from Jey. Reigns' next challenger for the championship was Cesaro, whom Reigns defeated at WrestleMania Backlash on May 16. ##
Reigns would once again defend the title against Edge at Money in the Bank, where Reigns retained with the assistance of Seth Rollins. After the match, Reigns was confronted by a returning John Cena. Over the following weeks, Cena challenged Reigns for a title match at SummerSlam, and after initially rejecting Cena's challenge, a match was made official for the two at the event. At the event, Reigns defeated Cena to retain the title. ##
Shortly after, Reigns would begin feuding with Finn Bálor. The two would eventually face each other for the Universal Championship on the September 3 episode of Smackdown but Reigns would retain the title following interference from The Usos. At Extreme Rules, Reigns once again defeated Finn Balor as "The Demon". On October 21, at Crown Jewel, Reigns successfully defended his title against Brock Lesnar with the help of his cousins The Usos. ##
For the second time, Reigns was scheduled to defend the title against Brock Lesnar at WWE Day 1, but he was pulled out of the match after testing positive. On January 29, at the Royal Rumble event, Reigns defended the championship against Seth Rollins, losing the match by disqualification; however championships cannot change hands by disqualification, meaning Reigns retained the title. ##
At WrestleMania 38, he defeated Brock Lesnar to win the WWE Championship for a fourth time and also became the first superstar to hold both the WWE Championship and WWE Universal Championship simultaneously. Most recently he defended the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship against Riddle, however after the match he was attacked by a returning Brock Lesnar to renew their rivalry and set up a Last Man Standing match at SummerSlam. ##
