WWE Universal Title Match Added To Elimination Chamber

WWE Hall Of Famer Goldberg is back and he will challenge Roman Reigns to the Universal Championship at the Elimination Chamber event. ## The match was set to take place for the title two years ago at WrestleMania, but Reigns withdrew from the match at the start of the pandemic and didn't return until August 2020. ## On the February 4th edition of SmackDown, Goldberg came out interrupting Roman Reigns in the opening promo. Goldberg said that he acknowledges Reigns … as his next victim. Then Goldberg said, “you’re next.” ## The two will now face off at Elimination Chamber on February 19th. ## The event will air on pay-per-view worldwide and will be available to stream through Peacock in the United States and the WWE Network internationally, which will make it the first Elimination Chamber to air on Peacock. With this match, Orton broke Kane's record for wrestling the most PPV matches in WWE history. ## However, On the January 10, 2022 episode of Raw, RK-Bro lost the titles to Alpha Academy (Chad Gable and Otis), ending their reign at 142 days. ## While speaking on Mark Andrews: My Love Letter To Wrestling, Matt Riddle revealed that Vince McMahon stopped Team RK-Bro from breaking up on the first day they teamed up together. ## “Teaming with Randy Orton, it was supposed to be one time. New Title Match Announced For WWE NXT Vengeance Day Special

Orlando, February 2, 2022 - A New Title Match has been Revealed For WWE NXT Vengeance Day Special. ## As announced on the February 1st edition of NXT, WWE NXT Women’s Tag Team Champions Gigi Dolin and Jacy Jayne of Toxic Attraction will defend against Indi Hartwell and Persia Pirotta. ## It's been weeks since Toxic Attraction feuding with Pirotta, Hartwell, and Kay Lee Ray and now This week’s show featured KLR kidnapping Jayne and Dolin in a SUV and then driving away with them, but coming back without them. ## The show ended with KLR saying she didn’t want to wait until Vengeance Day on February 15, so the KLR vs. Rose match was made for next Tuesday. ## The event is set to take place on February 15, 2022, at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida. It will air as a special episode of NXT 2.0. Nia Jax Turns Down Offered Spot In The Women's Royal Rumble Match

As noted earlier, Nia Jax asked WWE for time off to take care of her mental health, but on November 4, Jax was released from her WWE contract. ## Jax appeared on the latest episode of Renée Paquette's podcast "The Sessions" in a very open and honest discussion about her WWE experience. ## Jax stated that she was called and asked about returning to the company for a Royal Rumble appearance and her response to that idea was "F*** No" and that was she was not coming back. She noted she was still being paid by the company under her 90-day non-compete so there was no reason for them to pay her for the appearance and shut the idea down. ## I did," she confirmed to Renee Paquette on The Sessions when asked if she was offered a spot in the women's Royal Rumble. "I was in the middle of trying to get my stuff back. I had a bunch of crap. You know how it is, you're just shoving stuff in everybody's boxes. I'm in the middle of getting my stuff back, they sent me a box and more than half was missing. I'm like, 'Yo, what is going on?' When I got the call, I thought it was about, 'Where is my stuff?' It's my homie in [Talent Relations]. 'Hey, we're just calling to see if you'd be interested in participating in the Royal Rumble.' I started hysterically laughing. ## I thought it was my friend joking with me. 'Oh, you're hiliarious.' 'Actually, this is an official call.' 'Oh, fuck no, I'm not coming back.' 'We'd like to offer you this.' I said, 'first of all, I'm still under my 90 days. You're still going to be paying me anyway, so you're not offering me anything. No, I'm not coming back. Absolutely fucking not. Is this all it was?' 'Yes.' 'Okay, bye.'" ## When asked by Paquette if it felt like a slap in the face, Jax said, "That's exactly what it was. They were accumulating a list, this is what I was told, they were accumulating a list and wanted to offer me the opportunity, accumulate a list that they send to Vince, then Vince goes through the list and says who he wants and who he doesn't. I was like, 'You're asking me to be part of a list to go to the next step? Fuck no. How much more can you shit on me?' 'We didn't want her to feel left out. If it got around that she didn't get ask, we didn't want her to feel left out.' 'Fuck you, that's such bullshit.' Bobby Lashley will defend the WWE Championship inside the Elimination Chamber which takes place from the world’s largest pillarless superdome in Jeddah on Saturday, Feb.19. ## At Royal Rumble Lashley defeated Lesnar to win the WWE Championship for the second time after interference from the WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns. ## “The All Mighty” Bobby Lashley will now defend his title against five elite challengers inside the career-altering Elimination Chamber. ## The objective of the match is to eliminate each opponent from the match by scoring a pinfall or a submission. Disqualifications and count-outs do not apply in the process of elimination. The Elimination Chamber Match will begin with two Superstars in the ring and four other competitors enclosed in their respective pods. Every five minutes, a pod door will open, allowing another competitor to join the contest. ## This process will continue until all pods are empty. When a Superstar is pinned or submits, that Superstar is eliminated and must exit the Chamber. Decked out in his throwback gear from The Shield, Seth “Freakin” Rollins delivers a painful reminder from the past to Roman Reigns at Royal Rumble 2022. ## The match got pretty interesting when Seth Rollins made his entrance through the crowd to the tune of the old Shield music and wearing his old gear, Rollins got inside Reigns’ head to keep The Head of the Table off balance. ## At the beginning of the match, Seth Rollins was able to plant Reigns through the announce table with a powerbomb. Two Superstars enthralled countless devastating blows for near-falls that left the WWE Universe stunned. ## In the end, Roman picked up Rollins and locked in the Guillotine. However, Rollins grabbed the bottom rope, but Roman refused to let go. Once the ref completed his five-count, Reigns was disqualified.
