Tony Khan: 'We Have A Great Big Strong Roster That Wants To Do Live Events'

The company was founded in 2019 by Tony Khan, who also serves as the company's president and CEO. AEW holds live events and broadcasts a weekly television show on TNT. The company is positioned as an alternative to WWE and has been well-received by fans and critics since its launch. ## Speaking on In The Zone, Tony Khan discussed the possibility of AEW accessing event business. Khan stated that they have a great live events team and it's something they have talked a lot about and building out the live event business. ## "That's something we are talking about. We have a great live events team. It's something we've talked a lot about and building out the live event business. MJF Vs Bryan Danielson To Be A 60-Minute Iron Man Match At AEW Revolution

MJF vs Danielson is set for the AEW championship at Revolution in a 60-minute Iron Man match. ## The announcement was locked down during the January 4th, 2023 edition of AEW Dynamite that if possible then Bryan's match with MJF will be a 60-minute Iron Man match at AEW Revolution which takes place on March 5, 2023, at the Chase Center in San Francisco, California. ## During the show, here was a verbal confrontation between world champion MJF and Bryan Danielson. MJF said that if Bryan can win matches over the next five weeks, Bryan will become #1 contender and earn a world title match at the 2023 Revolution PPV. ## Bryan responded with a one-hour iron man match proposal and MJF accepted the stipulation. Swerve Strickland Reveals Top Names He Would Like To Work With In 2023

Swerve Strickland is growing fast since making his AEW debut. Following his departure from WWE, Strickland, now using the name Swerve Strickland, signed with All Elite Wrestling. He made his in-ring debut for AEW on the March 11 episode of AEW Rampage, scoring a pinfall victory over Tony Nese. ## Following his debut, Strickland aligned himself with Keith lee, making it a powerful stable. They initially joined hands against Team Taz (Powerhouse Hobbs and Ricky Starks). Now, known as "Swerve In Our Glory," defeated The Young Bucks and Team Taz in a Triple or Nothing match to become the new AEW World Tag Team Champions. ## However, their alliance came to an end after they would then enter a three match series with The Acclaimed (Max Caster & Anthony Bowens), defeating them at All Out, losing the belts to them in a rematch at Dynamite: Grand Slam after Strickland slapped Lee when Lee refused to use a pair of pliers as a weapon, causing Lee to walk out on the match. ## Strickland formed a new stable, Mogul Affiliates, with Parker Boudreaux, Granden Goetzman, and famed rapper Rick Ross. While Swerve seems headed for a one-on-one showdown with Lee, he has other top names in mind that he would like to work with in 2023. ## “Someone like that I’ve always admired—he’s currently not healthy at the moment—is Kyle O’Reilly. I’ve admired that man for so long, so many years,” Strickland told Stephanie Holland of The Root. “I’d pick a one on one match, because he’s literally the most unique in-ring performer in the world. Just so unique, so versatile, doesn’t get as much credit as he deserves for how good he is. ## He’s someone I definitely want to tie up with. Andrade is someone I’ve always admired as well. I feel like he was on his way to having one of the biggest breakout performances in wrestling a couple years ago. I know he’s hurt too. Ricky Starks: 'I Would Love To Win The TNT Championship, If I Don't Get To The AEW Championship First'

AEW has brought gold for Starks since he made his Debut for the company. ## Starsk made his unannounced debut On the June 17 episode of Dynamite, as he answered Cody's open challenge for the AEW TNT Championship in a losing effort. Following his debut, Starks was immeditally crowned as the FTW Champion. ## However, he lost the title to Hook, thus ending his reign at 378 days, making him the longest-reigning FTW Champion. Since losing the title, Ricky Starks has capped off his 2022 with a main event match for the AEW World Title against MJF and more. ## Speaking on Casual Conversations, Starks was asked for his goals in 2023. ## "My main goal for this year is to really carve out my own type of...I want to be so fulfilled in myself. What I mean is, I want to be fulfilled creatively, I want to be fulfilled in the ring, on the mic, I want to be fulfilled as a person, on this television show, that has stepped up and is now on another level and he should be talked with those other people on that level. ## I would love to win the TNT Championship, if I don't get to the AEW Championship first. Those are things I want to do. Stepping out of the wrestling stuff, I want to star in a TV show, I want to star in a movie. These are things that I want, that I'm going to get, because I deserve it. I'm going to make sure that I get it. They sent House of Black a contract to fight but it wasn't returned so they challenged House of Black to fight them right now. The lights went out Julia Hart was on the stage and pointed to a video of Malakai Black saying they will fight in due time. Zak has never made it and it's so frustrating, he's tried so hard. We need to get him on an AEW Dark show or something like that so we can showcase him. He just did New Japan. ## People loved him, they're bringing him back again. He got such a great reaction when he walked out. People didn't know who he was at first and then they said 'Zak Zodiac' and everyone was like 'YESSS!' It gave me chills. ## I would love for my brother to eventually be in AEW and my nephew, Ricky Knight Jr, my nephew Patrick. A whole family thing.
