AEW Dynamite 8/24 Results: CM Punk Vs. Jon Moxley Full Match & Winner

Undisputed AEW World Champion Crowned On 8/24 Dynamite. ## Jon Moxley defeated CM Punk on the August 24 episode of AEW Dynamite to become the company's Undisputed World Champion. ## Jon Moxley originally won the AEW Interim World Title back at the Forbidden Door pay-per-view after defeating Hiroshi Tanahashi in the main event of the show. ## At the Quake by the Lake special episode of Dynamite on August 10, the lineal AEW World Champion Punk returned and confronted Moxley, entering into a title dispute. A match to determine the Undisputed AEW World Champion was then scheduled at All Out. ## However, due to heated confrontations between the two, it was announced that the match would instead take place on the August 24 episode of Dynamite, in which Moxley quickly defeated Punk to win his record-setting second AEW World Championship, becoming the Undisputed AEW World Champion in the process. ## Did CM Punk just re-injure his foot in these early minutes?! At any time, any contestant can win the match before all the contestants have entered the field. ## The winner of this match will get a guaranteed chance of the World Championship. Report: There Is Reportedly A Ton Of Backstage Drama Among Top Stars In AEW

AEW World Heavyweight Champion CM Punk has been a huge trend on Twitter since he cut a promo on AEW Dynamite. It was said that “nobody knew” CM Punk would call out “Hangman” Adam Page for an AEW world title rematch during the August 17th 2022 edition of Dynamite. ## There is speculation that CM Punk calling out Page was a “receipt” for something Page said in a promo prior to the 2022 Double or Nothing PPV. ## According to Dave Meltzer's report on Wrestling Observer Newsletter, there is “a ton of backstage drama involving many of the top guys that has gotten much worse in recent weeks.” ## Meltzer pointed out that AEW President Tony Khan has a meeting with some of the top stars to settle down the issue before it gets out of hand. ## It’s believed that the backstage issues started when Colt Cabana’s contract was not going to be renewed and his “contentious relationship” with CM Punk was rumored to be the reason. Numerous AEW stars reportedly vouched for Cabana and Khan ended up signing Cabana for the Ring of Honor relaunch. During the August 12 episode of AEW Rampage, Isiah Cassidy and Mark Queen made it clear that they wanted to challenge for Gold. ## Also on the show, HOOK will defend the FTW Championship against Zack Clayton. CM Punk's Return Was Kept Away From Staff And Much Of The Roster

CM Punk is finally back after a two-month absence. ## Per the report from Fightful Select, the working plan is for a title unification match at AEW All Out between interim champion Jon Moxley and AEW Champ CM Punk. Though it was hopeful from the start. The internal hope is that CM Punk would be back and ready to go for the AEW All Out show. ## There was a restricted area backstage at Dynamite Quake by the Lake, which now most assume was related to CM Punk's return. Report: Former WWE Wrestler Helping Produce AEW Matches

Not only is a talent working in the ring for All Elite Wrestling, he's helping produce matches as well. ## According to Fightful Select, Ariya Daivari is working for All Elite Wrestling in a producer capacity. Specifically, Daivari helped produce the highly regarded Jamie Hayter & Dr. Britt Baker DMD vs. Thunder Rosa and Toni Storm match on the August 3 episode of Dynamite. Daivari laid the foundation for the match, and the participants themselves largely put things together. ## Daivari was working on a trial basis as a WWE producer for the last several months along with Joe Hennig, but was let go recently. During that same period, he was still making AEW Dark appearances. Mance Warner is one of the most popular wrestlers in the independent scene at the moment. He won the Bunkhouse Stampede Battle Royal last Sunday night as part of Ric Flair's last match during Starcast Weekend and now he got the opportunity to face Jon Moxley for his interim AEW World Title.## Mance Warner challenged Jon Moxley for the title at the AEW Rampage this week, where he certainly had a solid performance. In the end, he could not win the match.## According to BodySlam, it was reported that AEW executives were so pleased with Warner's performance and attitude on Wednesday that he was invited back for the rampage before Dynamite ended.## Sources indicated to me that AEW officials were so happy with Warner’s performance and attitude on Wednesday, that he was invited back for Rampage before Dynamite had ended. Additionally, Mancer was placed in a featured spot with Moxley to open the broadcast, which is considered a coveted position, to keep viewers coming out of SmackDown. Mance was also promoted heavily including featuring his promo on their social media.## It was further stated that no AEW contract was offered to Warner after the match against Moxley. Other pro wrestling companies have certainly shown interest in him.
