New TNT Champion Crowned On 4/27 AEW Dynamite

Scorpio Sky has done it again - he is the new AEW TNT Champion in his second reign! ## This was a spectacular main event. It was merely "very good" until the final couple minutes, which were as entertaining as any AEW match this year. ## The bout saw both Conti and VanZant get involved, Sky punched Guevara to knock him off the ladder and pulled down the championship to win the title for the second time. ## After remaining undefeated in matches for a year, Sky defeated Sammy Guevara and won the TNT Championship at the March 9, 2022 episode of Dynamite. After a title defense against Wardlow, Sky lost the title to Guevara at Battle of the Belts II. ## Once again, On the April 27 episode of AEW Dynamite, Sammy Guevara defended the TNT Title in a Ladder Match against Scorpio Sky and lost it. ## #AndNew!!! @ScorpioSky has done it! Tony Khan Comments On A Potential Match Between CM Punk And Bryan Danielson

The crossover began with Samoa Joe returning to wrestling in the ROH Supercard of Honor and then winning the ROH Television Title on AEW Dynamite. AEW features many of the most famous names in ROH history, including Brian Danielson and CM Punk. ## Speaking to Robbie Fox on My Mom's Basement, Khan commented about Danielson and the prospect of punk wrestling at an ROH event. ## "I would love to see them lock up at some point in AEW. In Ring of Honor, I think we'll have to wait and see. There may be a time where it would make sense for them to come, we have a lot of great stars in Ring of Honor and AEW, so I couldn't promise that."## "There may come a day where it would make sense for all the stars of AEW and all the stars of Ring of Honor to come together as one and have a big event. We'll see when that time is. I wouldn't count on seeing Punk and Danielson on every show. Jim Ross: 'MJF Will Definitely Be The AEW Worlds Champion At Some Point In Time'

AEW commentator Jim Ross spoke on the latest episode of his podcast, Grilling JR, during the podcast, Jim Ross answered fan questions, with one fan asking who he’d like to see hold the AEW World Championship after Hangman Adam Page. ## “MJF will definitely be the AEW Worlds Champion at some point in time,” Ross said. “I suggest sooner than later, this year as in sooner. I don’t have that written down, Tony Khan didn’t whisper that in my ear at the UFC fight on Saturday but there are a lot of guys that qualify." ## "Adam Cole’s got to be right there at the top of that list, he hasn’t had a bad match yet and he’s very reliable and he’s got a beautiful girlfriend that’s a big part of our team. ## “I think Adam Cole is in line for an opportunity with that role but I’ve got to tell you, I’m not in any big hurry to take it off Hangman Page. He’s getting better and better every time. The things he’s done on TV the last couple of weeks, the little run-ins, talking, interacting. He’s shown a huge improvement in his game, he’s in great shape, he looks good and he’s healthy." ## "I’m not in any hurry for Hangman Page to lose but if it does come his turn, we have plenty of guys. We haven’t got Kenny Omega back, Kenny Omega will be back soon at some point in time when he gets healthy. Miro, Samoa Joe, there are a lot of guys that would be good champions. The event will air Saturday night on TNT at 8PM Eastern/5PM Pacific. ## Check Out The Full Results Below (via PWInsider) ## AEW President Tony Khan came out to introduce Jungle Boy and Luchasaurus. ## The commentary team is Tony Schiavone, Excalibur and Taz.## The special opens with TNT Champion Scorpio Sky vs. Sammy Guevara. Sammy won the title in a strong bout that saw Ethan Page and Dan Lambert get involved, leading to Tay getting involved. Paige VanZant ran out and brawled with Conti. Really fun, strong match. ## --ROH Champion Jonathan Gresham defeated Dalton Castle. ## After the match, They went to shake hands but out came Jay Lethal, Sonjay Dutt, and Satnam Singh. They attack, meanwhile, Lee Moriarty with Matt Sydal come out to try and make the save, but they are crushed too. But out came Samoa Joe with a steel pipe. Samoa Joe Becomes The New ROH Television Champion On (4/13/22) AEW Dynamite

Samoa Joe has become the new ROH Television champion! ## The submission machine defeated Japanese legend Minoru Suzuki on this week's edition of AEW Dynamite from New Orleans. Joe performed the Muscle Buster to win the match and the championship. ## Joe established himself in ROH from the promotion's beginning in 2002, holding the ROH World Championship for a record 21 months from March 2003 to December 2004. ## Joe previously held the ROH Champion by defeating Xavier for the belt, which soon became the ROH World Championship on May 17, 2003, after defeating The Zebra Kid at "Frontiers of Honor" in London, England. ## #AndNew!!! It's now officially been confirmed that Blood & Guts match for this summer! ## AEW President Tony Khan confirmed the news in an interview with Marc Raimondi of ESPN. Khan stated, “Yeah. I’d say to expect Blood & Guts this summer.” ## “That I’ll have to get back to you on. I’ve thought about it. It’s a very different wrestling world now than it was during the pandemic. I think it’s a great match, a signature match for us that people really enjoyed. ## “But some of the reasons we presented that match were because of the challenges that existed in the world because of the pandemic, as far as presenting sporting events with live fans. That doesn’t really exist in this live-event pandemic.” ## The first-ever AEW Blood & Guts match took place on May 5, 2021, at Daily's Place in Jacksonville, Florida. On the latest edition of Rasslin' with Brandon F. Walker, AEW President Tony Khan commented on Storm's arrival, saying that he doesn't know if he has ever seen somebody more relieved to have wrestled a match than Toni Storm after taking the 90 days off. ## "Toni Storm has come into AEW not just with a great track record and a lot of fans supporting her, but she said this has brought back her love of wrestling already. The way she reacted when she came through the curtain after the match (against The Bunny)." ## "I don't know if I've ever seen somebody more relieved to have wrestled a match than Toni Storm after taking the 90 days off. She came back in great shape, she looks great, she is a great person, and I love having her in AEW. When she squared off with Jamie Hayter face-to-face, that was a big deal. So, having Toni Storm here is great," Khan said. ## Storm made her All Elite Wrestling (AEW) debut on 30 March 2022 episode of AEW Dynamite as a participant in the qualifier match for the Owen Hart Foundation Tournament, defeating The Bunny.
