More Participants Announced For The 2023 Royal Rumble Match

On the December 30 edition of SmackDown, two more superstars were confirmed for the 2023 Royal Rumble match. ## Ricochet qualified for the Royal Rumble on SmackDown Friday following his win over Top Dolla. Plush, Morgan announced during the show that she would be the first to enter the 2023 Women's Royal Rumble match. ## Kofi Kingston is the only other person confirmed in the Rumble match, declaring his status last month. Next week, Sami Zayn goes one-on-one with Kevin Owens. ## On Friday's WWE SmackDown, Roman Reigns reproached Sami Zayn for trying to call the shot and then losing on the December 30 episode of WWE SmackDown which saw Roman teaming against John Cena & Owens. ## During the episode, Reigns admitted he's not mad at Owens, not Zayn. Reigns isn't worried because he has a solution. Heyman then announced Zayn vs. Owens for next week. Zayn accepted the match and promised to beat Owens. Reigns asked Zayn to stay and watch the title match with him. ## So, Coming up next week, it will be Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens in a singles match. Roman Reigns Vs. Kevin Owens Set For WWE Royal Rumble 2023

It's happening...Kevin Owens will challenge Roman Reigns for the WWE Universal Championship at the 20223 Royal Rumble PPV. ## The challenge was laid down during the January 6th 2023 edition of SmackDown, when The Bloodline kicked off the show with a promo. Reigns were too up there and flared up over Sami Zayn’s loss from the previous week but then Kevin Owens interrupted the segment. ## Owens challenged Reigns to a title match at the Royal Rumble. Reigns just wants Owens to leave. Owens agreed to go. As he walked away, he told Zayn that he'd see him when he digs his balls out of Roman's pocket. ## It has now been made official, Kevin Owens will challenge Roman Reigns for the Universal Title at Royal Rumble 2023. ## "Your problem is not with @SamiZayn. MJF said that if Bryan can win matches over the next five weeks, Bryan will become #1 contender and earn a world title match at the 2023 Revolution PPV. ## Bryan responded with a one-hour iron man match proposal and MJF accepted the stipulation.
